New Nation DIscussion - Finland

A focus on rifle marksman and accuracy, able to win shootouts vs other infantry. With some defensive units, and a variety of cheap tanks. They have some captured heavy units to fall back on if needed.


Was thinking of giving their rifles 10+ range.. or maybe just all the rifle units tier 3+.. probaly wont make a difference tbh to out come of gameplay and/or a extra star for rifles for all tiers.

Simers has a point. Miners should also have same CP as T2 inf (if they dont already) otherwise player will have to suicide them after using the mines.

hmm will have to think on this, trying to experiement swith special point timers. If i give them weapons finalnd will wipe the enemy to spawn.. If the miners come out later or even at 1sp they will be useless mmm

This seems like a good start, although I would'nt add the Nebelwerfer and I would replace the Panzer IV G with StuG III G

I think giving them pistols is the least we can do.. :) it allows them to atleast defend themself against 1 or 2 infantry... this way they can still have the ability to lay mines... which is our objective to make them somewhat useful..

As far I know from RL, there where Prototypes from old BT-7s to convert in a 120 / 152 mm gun and it was called BT-42, fixt gun so it was like a SPG
Just saying that this could be nice?

Also they used alot T-50-2 .. Just saying, i love that fast littel Tank :D

Maybe give mine layers 1-2 smg gaurds, sort of like how elite mg comes with two riflemen. basically escorts. Keep the ammo count maybe 3 mags? they can defend but between the two of them maybe 6 close range enemies before ammo is expended. Anything further than 20m would be basically them wasting ammo.

Also make the minelayers stamina drop faster due to weight, this also provides the same effect of the lighter riflemen always being ahead of the mg which makes him slightly more safe if they come underfire.

Beside my work on my Wespe Skins i will try to copy this nice scheme for the finnish bt tank. Hope to present something in the next two days. Due to personal reasons i will modify the swastikas.
I like that scheme. Other way could be the original russian skin with "overpainted" red star...

Finns used swastikas before nazis and there was no connection, anyway i agree that it would be safer not to use them.
