Map is now ready for Operation release
With the lates update just a few minutes ago the Map is now finaly ready for the new Operation coming this week, probably(if not this week, in december for sure). The latest update brought some well made improvements in terms of simplicity, pathfinding for first time play (Hey casuals ;) ) and lightning improvements in darker areas. This seems like a solid first version to be flooded with players who will for sure find OP spots (boosts) and other weaknesses FMPONE will surely rethink shortly after the release. Personaly I am realy keen on getting my hands on the new maps. Not only this but as well Nuke 2 etc.. In regard to cache and other maps of those guys the Map is for sure not as simple but if it should realy get to the point where the map can be played competitive (probably after a few weeks/months - release) I think it will look somewhat clearly different than the current version (and that is normal and good, just see the development of Overpass...). I realy hope to be able to finaly test it live in MM and if I should guess I would predict the operation to be released in not even a days time. After all it should be clear to everyone ...

It`s been a long time. I realy did not expect Valve to delay an Operation this far.
But since then the map has seen some great tweaks and updates already. I wanted to try it out on ESEA because I just cant wait anymore but sadly other maps are prioriticed more and I did not get my hands on it in action, yet. I just wanted to thank you a lot for tweaking and working on the map for so long, without a public version even released yet. Every Week when ther could be an Update (and finaly the operation) I stay up till late in the night to hopefully be able to play Santorini immediately. Just realy, keep it up man, I dont know if you get regularly paid for this but even if (you should defenitly in my opinion), you deserve every cent for it !

Yeah we were waiting for a very long time and we deserve this beautiful map which is a different experience from other maps that we would love to play . Please Gaben , make us happy , get us the new operation

So it kind of makes sense to me that it was not released this week (Dreamhack Leipzig on the way, normaly they dont do updates like this prior to a big lan) but if it wont come out next week I can not understand anymore what they are doing or trying to accomplish through that.
So hopefully the wait will be over soon. ^^

Oh I thought that there as a chance that they can release tonight since they make updates on wednesdays and thursdays

As this is not a "major" event it could still be possible but reagarding the past I doubt it, realy.
