What software do you use?
-- 3ds Max for my modding

What about blender?
-- Great software I would be using it if I had not paid for 3ds max. This is the best software for the cost, its has capabilities some of the higher end software needs paid for plugins to do. Dont know how to use it go here.[blenderguru.com]

You paid for 3ds max?
-- Saved for 3 years to get it

How do you do characters?
-- Short answer: Same way you do blocks just in cm not meters.
-- Long answer: Rig your model as a single mesh, then export it to cm and copy the collision and xml from the mod sdk to your working folder. Then change the names in the xml to your texture like you would do a skin on the original astronaut.

My character comes in upside down and tore up?
-- Yes it can happen, dont be discouraged, look in your config xml for RotationY and change it from 0 to 180 and rebuild your model. Should now come in correct side up.

My textures are showing up correctly?
-- check your xml, also I would suggest keep everything lower case and replace spaces with _ (underscores) just so it will be cross compatible.

How do I mod?
-- If your asking this you shouldnt try characters yet til you get comfy with blocks watch this vid

How long do you mod?
-- I get roughly 2 hours a week to do any modding, sometimes less.

How long have you been modding?
-- For Space Engineers since June 2015. However I have been messing with game engines on and off for the last 12 years. (Everything from Cryengine to Unity)

Which game engine is best?
-- the one you feel most comfortable making games with. They are all exceptional.
