consider doing covinent?
It would be cool to bring this a whole halo universe, so it can be humans vs covinent for some pvp server. and if ai ever get moddable that could aslo be interesting to see. of course if this is in the relm of what you would want/be capable of doing.

If we got moddable allied ai that would be cool, especially if there's some way to "build" more of them. If we could have some to control our vehicles or follow in squads that would be quite interesting to see. I'd likely fit those allied with me to use the marine armor and, if its possible, assign various weapons to them. Maybe even take a few in spartan armor for a squad :)

well if they spawn on their own they just need spawn popints, like crio tubes or something. it would be bad ass to have ai that can operate different types of equipment, so when they get into a vehicle they switch to the ai that is designated for that type of device(ships terret). pluss a command abillity would be need, so you can command ai in your faction.. could even be used to make quest ai like shiop keeps and such. i really hope keen makes a nice focus on ai.. this game could seriously benafit from som pve stuff. I know I personaly want to raid a pirate base and fight pirate ai.

Yes I have considered doing covenant, however I'm a very picky about my own work, and I try to optimize whenever I can, which does slow me down. However I know there are other pretty good modelers out there, Hopefully my vid /guide can help them and we can bring more halo stuff to game!

That could be interesting to see, although since Keen's idea of "armor" is still almost more like paper as far as small grid is concerned we might have to go with shields on each unit for both factions. While the Hornet and Sparrowhawk are still not fully flyable yet I've got the Warthogs, Pelican, and Wolverines pretty much done. Still to finish are the Scorpion, Cobra, and Vulture for the UNSC's main forces and possibly in that same order. After those are all built, maybe I might also look into a Darter and Falcon, but the remaining firebase structures and Mammoth projects would probably come before those. To further support this "RTS" idea having some E.M.T.G's would help with resource flow as well and be perfect to fit supply pads with.

Hopefully we can get more rotor control support in the near future, cause I really want to fly those VTOL's as they were designed to fly. Other than that the builds have mostly gone well. There are still the limits of lacking matching vehicle weapons but I'm hopeful that will change soon now that planets are out. The biggest ones I need to really bring authenticity to the builds are gauss guns for the hog, cobra, turret upgrade, autocannons for the hornet, and missile pods for the wolverine (preferably with seeking ability) . In the meantime I'll keep doing what I can to help prep UNSC assault forces for ground ops.

Then, when the covenant start showing up my forces can use them as target practice, hahaha.

I just hope that when we do get allied ai that we can "recruit" and "train" more of them to work with us. I'd like to travel across the planet terrain with an ai controlled armor division, some hornets and sparrowhawks, and a few vultures for air artillery support :)

I had this idea a long time ago: Mod turrets to look like humans with guns. Stationary, simple, "trainable". Is that even possible?

very quite possible, i think, it would simply be a new model, with nearly exactly the same coding, i say nearly as they would have to add animations for turning and change the location of the muzzle flash, but that it, it coding wise in a overall general scheme of things, thats very easy to do.
I would really like to see this put into the game in combination with haveing flat passenger seats to put on the armored hulls of larger vehicles and side openings of aircraft. just imagine being able to use your weapons from inventory while riding in a vehicle or sitting on it, to aid in fire support and just overall added coolness. :)
