Then come purge day, SIRENS WILL BLARE, YOUR HOPES AND DREAMS CAN BE CRUSHED, ITS AN ALL VS ALL WITH NO HOPE OF REPRIEVE FROM EITHER THE ADMINS OR YOUR PEERS. **Server PvE rules / Expectations / Info**

We’re playing this game to enjoy ARK and its survival aspects, with sandbox features. This server has been created to appeal to a wider majority with a mix of PvE and PvP aspects, to provide the endless bloodlust and freedom people want at the end of the week. The weekdays are PvE times, where you’re able to build, grow, and nurture your dinosaurs and defenses until the weekend PvP’ing.

 

Sunday 10:01PM - Saturday 9:59AM is PvE time. *EST
Saturday 10AM - Sunday 10PM is PURGE time.

 

The Purge has a single rule, no hacking or exploiting that can be proven as an exploit on the main forums. So if you’re looking to form an edge with a well known and abusable exploit, just be aware that it may not be the best thing for you.

**On PvE Days**

 

**Rule 1 - Don’t prevent others from building with spammable objects.**

If you try to troll someone by building a bunch of foundations or pillars to prevent another player from building in an area they’ve already claimed, you’ll be nuked as a warning and then banned. In the situation where you build by someone else accidentally, the person who arrived first has the right to build there and you will be given time to demolish and move. Failure to do so equals nuking. There will be no problem with close proximity bases until it’s reported to an admin, which will then set the distance precedent for the server. If there’s drama between allies, it’ll be handled during the purge.

**Rule 2** - Don’t block people into a certain area.

Build your bases for yourself, and pens for your dino’s. Don’t waste your time, or the time of the other party by trying to lock them in or out of their base with structures or tamed dino’s. We’ll nuke your lizards if it’s reported and proven. Be warned.

**Rule 3** - No malicious killing or sabotaging of tame’s or passive dino’s on the server.


That means no leading wild dino’s to tames, taking the narcotics out of AAA predators like Giga’s and Rexes, or doing anything else that could be seen as malicious intent. Again, this is only going to be a problem if it's reported to an admin. Feel free to do it to your friends if you think they won’t betray you. Same punishments as the previous rules. We nuke your base the first time, second time we ban you.


**Rule 4** - Major resource areas and caves are not to be blocked for the first month.

We’re waiting until the end of it to do a level evaluation to see if there’s a fair enough majority to destroy a metal behemoth within reason. Build in the caves, but don’t block the entrances. Section off where you want to build, then expand. Don’t block the only 2 ways in and consider it yours. Thanks!

**Rule 5** - Do not hack or abuse well known exploits.

Anything that’s considered a major issue reported on as an exploit on the official ARK forums, or is an exploit by common knowledge, will not be tolerated on PvP or PvE times. If there is only one rule, don’t screw around by hacking or exploiting. Purge day is to raise hell and fight to the death, so if that requires you using an exploit. Leave. Same rules: Nuke 1st, Ban 2nd.

**10x Taming**
So this was the tougher one to gauge. 10x taming will drastically lower many different dino tames, while still providing a bit of time to the overall process. The reason it’s not higher is because this seems to be a good initial test point, which we can evaluate purge by purge. It’s for dino’s, the most emotionally invested parts of the game. So obviously we would like to make them more easily tamed so you can get another BobbyV2 after purge day.

 

**4x Resource with 1.5x more resources HP. Resource respawn rate @ 6x slower.**
I played around with this one a bit. A few people called for high as all balls rates, a few others wanted something closer to vanilla. This isn’t fully appealing to the high rates people, but I’ll tell you what it does. It encourages you to get the resources around you while you can. The slower respawn but 4x on 1.5x makes for huge gains later on. Especially for metal. When you find a node, it may be a few in game days before it comes back. But it alone can provide need for most basic services. This is the least sensitive to future change. If the public desires more, WE SHALL PROVIDE MORE. THOU SHALT IT BE SAID.

 

**5x EXP**
If you’re looking for vanilla, you’re not going to find it. Other vanilla servers try to control players with rules, to provide a long lasting experience. It’s more so a gimmick for that, than it is this. We’re trying to make this fun so you can move forward with the time you put in between purges, and better satiate your lust for blood. The blood gods wish for this. So 5x EXP is where we start. It’s not a huge bump, but some people see 5x and think it’s horrible. I’m not spending 5 hours to get a bow and arrow. Plain and simple. This stat is also non-sensitive to future increase at server request.

 


**Sub-Settings / Style of Life**

- Night / Day
Longer days, longer nights. But longer days than nights. No one said anything, so I’ll do my usual.

 

- Baby Dino’s
No adjustments until there’s more input.

 

- Dino Levels
I’m 100% Putting dino levels up to 1080. I can’t handle weak babbeh dino’s.

 

- Hunger / Thirst
Not getting rid of it altogether. Most people agreed to simple have it lowered. So 0.3 for people is our starting point. IF you feel as though it should stay, let me know. It’s very open to discussion.

 

Stats upon Level
- This is changing to complement the current XP Gain and help players handle the higher level dino’s. Different stats will be rebalanced to fulfill their original intended purpose.

**Lightning Spear and More Crafting Primitive**
I bought the server. I reserved 2 mods by personal privilege to add into the game. These are those mods. Special lightning spears that attract lightning in the rain, an awesome cooking pot/fire combo with a tent. I hope you enjoy!

**Corpse and Pet Finder**
Gigantic light rays that only you or others in your tribe can see for pets, and that everyone can see for corpses. If you die, it’s only fitting you get the loot. If the bags glitch into the map, you can use this to bring it up as well. SCIENCE. (Largely requested)

**Difficulty 34**
Ultra tasty high level dinosaurs. It was requested by a couple people, more than other mods. So I have to say this is awesome. I love challenges later on. Damn the man with a level 1500 giga though. Damn him. I’ll stay in my cave forever.

**Industrial Grinder**
I suggested, a few people agreed. I can’t put a stacking mod into the game. It makes having chests, or multiple chests, virtually useless. This thing will make the intensive Late-Game crafting into something less than evil. It also stacks the important stuff, like narcotics, gunpowder, and does some strange magic to wood, thatch, and fiber. A great mid-game addition to ease things along.

**Smithy**
Makes the smithy have 500 total slots instead of the default. That way you can actually craft Ascendant stuff!

**Auto Torch**
Makes those dark ARK nights a bit easier to bear, this mod makes it so that torches do not require fuel to run and also will run on their own timer.
