My ideas:
  • Tweak weapon so that trajectory shots can be achieved; cannonball airtime would be influenced by gravity.

  • Resize either the cannonballs or the handcannon itself so that size proportions aesthetically match up.

  • Introduce different payload types that can be freely swapped with conventional cannonballs.
    (1) Non-explosive ......... Conventional cannonballs that do not explode; can picked up and thrown after losing enough momentum; disappear after a given period of time.

    (2) Fuse-detonated .......... Conventional cannonballs with fuses; can be primed.

    (2) Incendiary ................... Miniature barrels; explosions produce short-lived fires.

    (3) "Pinball" ....................... Chrome-tinted cannonballs; explodes shortly after bouncing off multiple surfaces.

    (4) Anti-gravitational ......... Explosive hoverballs; uninfluenced by gravity; slow-traveling.

    (5) Homing ........................ Glows + pulses dark purple; chases nearest player/ NPC; slow-traveling.

    (6) Melon ........................... Explosions produce gibs.

    (7) Proximity-detonated ..... Miniature helicopter bombs augmented into motion-detecting explosives; stick to surfaces; deactivate after a certain length of inactivity.
