How did you do this?
So I noticed you are using the Hong Kong editor, but are able to use props from the previous installments.

I've tried to bring a project from dragonfall and have pretty much given up. I also tried to start from scratch, but everytime I run a test it never works. From what little I have found on the internet is that i would need to edit the path. Tried that but maybe I'm missing something.

Any suggestions? It looks like you didn;t have problems.

Heya! A few things:

Hong Kong includes all props from the previous games. You don't need to import the old content packs to use them. Once you get a fresh Hong Kong project set up, you'll be able to access everything.

Fair warning: Porting from Dragonfall to Hong Kong would be very difficult. The actual props should move over (except for leylines), but a lot of the old models and outfits are broken, and they removed all the old music. Depending on how far you got in DF, you might be better off starting over from scratch. Personally, I'll never port Antumbra Saga to Hong Kong due to how many old things broke.

A few links that might help with the content path:

Good luck!

Okay thanks for telling me that. Seems I've been barking up the wrong tree with trying to alter the dependencies. Maybe I can spare the conversations though.

If you've got DFDC editor installed and working, it's likely the cause of your HK woes. The editors all use the SAME file name to configure themselves. It doesn't matter that theyre in different directories... it grabs them anyways. So here's the solution.

Close down all copies of the editor. Delete the shadowruneditor.ini file from the HK content path directory.

Renamed the shadowruneditor.ini file in your DRAGONFALL content pack directory to shadowruneditor.bak

Then run the HK editor, and use this link to set up your games content paths.
https://shadowrun.gamepedia.com/Game_File_Locations

Now, close the HK editor.

Go back and RENAME the shadowruneditor.bak to shadowruneditor.ini in the DRAGONFALL directory.

Now, reopen your HK editor.

After this, you should be able to use both editors.

For whatever reason, if it finds an old version of that INI file, it tries to use it for dependencies. That's the most common way the editor breaks when importing maps. You can do the same thing with the SRR editor... (I have all three versions running on mine)

Thank you

Did that help?

Well I'm grateful for any help, but I was able to get the content working in HK. My question now is will this configuration adjustment help me with the crashes while I sift through the props list?
Or do you think it will help more with what cirion mentioned about porting Antumbra Saga into HK?

The HK edition of the editor is the least stable. Save often... It crashes alot. Once you get your content ported over, you need to check it for broken models, and degraded scripting. That'll help a little with stability... But it's just a case of "save often".
