Gladiators of Ark is a fresh, new server looking for more players. Here we encourage friendly Pvp, and part of our map will be a special no raiding zone. We have a reddit page and steam group that you can check out for our rules, the map, and the list of our mods. Active friendly admins. A lot of people left on a deployment in the Navy. So the server is a little bare right now. Freshly wiped. Please come check us out! If you have an idea or think one more more of the Multipliers need to be increased or decreased or a new one added, we listen and will more than likely change it.

***** New players will be given a Metal pick, Metal Axe and 1 starting dino lvl50 of your choice (Trike, Steggo, Mega "deer" or Bigfoot)****

Currently we have 4 active players. This is a PvPvE server, raiding is allowed, killing is allowed, griefing is not and will be dealt with severely. Updates are added as soon as possible and rollbacks are only done in extreme circumstances, wipes will be done only if an update requires it and the community agrees.

Passive Dino Rules: [PVP ZONE]

Passive dino's that are outside and in a pen will have a limit to being covered by the rules. No more than 5 dino's set to passive at one time will be compensated and you must have some form of defense for them. (other neutral dinos guarding, Plant species X or auto turrets)

Passive dino's that are inside a base that is locked with a roof and walls, these have unlimited protection limit and are never allowed to be killed.

T-rex's, Giganotosaurus, Spinos, Brontos, Paracer, Quetzal and Carno's will NOT be compensated if left on passive in any circumstance. Consider these your treasured but expendable creatures for attacking and defending.

you are NOT allowed to kill passive tamed dino's IF:

1. They are in a base with walls and a roof (literally in a building thats locked and cannot be seen from outside).

2. They are walled in a pen and defended (cannot be accessed via wild animals, no ceiling required, 2 walls high, neautral dinos guarding/turrets/plant X).

you ARE allowed to kill passive tamed dino's IF:

1. They are blocking you from entering or exiting a structure (screenshot it).

2. If they are outside of someone base, flying around or landed. (PvP is allowed but expect to be hated if you kill everyone you see)


In the event of a rollback, scheduled restart or server crash for whatever reason, no compensation will be given. Everyone will have lost stuff and everyone will have to accept it and move on. The admins cannot afford to spend entire days compensating every single item lost to every single player with the limited admin tools.

1. No building in caves or blocking entrance.

2. No blocking large resource spawns.


No griefing/base flattening:
Raid all you like but no need to completely destroy someones base.
Break in, steal whatever you want and get out. (this means don't use a Rex to break into a wooden base as it will destory everything or a Giganotosaurus to break into a stone base as it will also destory everything)

No Destroying unnecessary things like fridges/generators/grills/fabricators. (On the same end, if you build anything near a door, wall or Vault that someone attacks, splash damage may destroy these)

No insulting, whining or bad mouthing to Admins

No arguing against an admins decision on any punishment or admin related work in global chat. This rule applies to steam messages if you are given a warning.
We work hard so you can play hard :)

No insulting, racism or verbal attacks on other players.

No Spamming chat.

No impersonating admins or community moderators in any way, this will be dealt with severely.

4 strike system ========applies to your tribe as a whole not per player========:
First warning
Second one day ban
Third one week ban
Fourth permanent ban.

You must contact and request to the admin to be removed from the ban list after your ban time as expired.

Threats to admins or about breaking rules, hurting others, and server security will result in an instant ban.

Any breach of rules will result in strikes with the severity at the Admins discretion.
Not reading the rules is not an excuse and could result in harsher punishment.


[PvE Zone]

This zone is is all land and water above the 60 lat line, and left of the 50 lon line. The small piece of land under the 60 line is still considered to be in the PvE zone as well as the waters around it. See the map!

There is no base or outpost raiding of any kind in the PvE zone

You can't kill anyone or their dinos in the PvE zone

No killing tames in progress

You cannot kill dinos on passive

Bases in this zone can ONLY be attacked if two tribes agree to enter a war, but the people being raided MUST be online.

The water around the PvE zone is also considered to be PvE. This includes the water in between the PvE and Pvp zones. You are not considered to be in the PvP zone until you reach the land.

Turrets (both plant and auto) are allowed in the PvE zone but they must be OFF when you are online. Any turrets you have also must be set to low range and have a 4 second warning.

[Rules for declaring war in the PvE zone]

1. You must declare war on the person or tribe you intend to attack. They must acknowledge your declaration of war and they must be online for you to be able to attack, unless they are online and then combat log (logout) to try to avoid hostilities. Combat logging will not prevent hostilities.

2. You must have a VERY GOOD reason for declaring war. This is somewhat ambiguous and caused some problems before so we will implement some ways to debate the validity of a reason for going to war. First of all the admins will discuss the reasoning and see if the reason is valid. Second, if the admins feel the need, we will ask the other players on the server whether they think the reason for going to war is valid, the admins will then make a decision.

3. You can surrender before or during hostilities if you or your tribe feel you are going to be defeated. If one side surrenders, hostilities must be stopped immediately. The side that surrenders must pay "War Charges" if the victorious party demands it. This would be a one-time payment of goods or services. Nothing outrageous or overwhelming for the losing tribe, they should not have to pay any more than half of their stocked resources or tamed dinos. Payment can be in tamed dinos, taming dinos for the victor, resources, crafted items, blueprints, etc. Just keep it fair, if the surrendering tribe feels the terms are unfair, they can consult the admins to determine the fairness of the War Charges.

4. While engaged in battle, you are not allowed to nearly or completely demolish the other team's base or kill all their tamed dinos. Only destroy the parts of their base that are necessary to gain access to the other team for fighting and for raiding their items. You are only allowed to attack/kill the dinos that the other team is using for the war, i.e. no killing all of their dinos. Even if it is a battle for territory, you can not completely destroy the other team's base. We all invest a lot of time and energy into this game and none of us want that effort to be wasted by losing everything.

5 If somebody breaks the rules and attacks you in the PvE zone without declaring war, you have every right to defend yourself. Please do your best to report the incident to the admins during or after the incident.

[PVP RULES]

1. If you are in the PvP zone you can kill on sight (KOS) any online player you see and any tamed dinos[READ PASSIVE PVP DINO RULE ABOVE]. You cannot spawn kill a person, or people, over and over.

2. You can NOT harm or kill tames in progress.

3. Tribes or a single person are allowed a max of two main bases. Main bases MUST have a sign painted red and displayed in plain sight. You can also have your walls or doors painted red. Any other bases or structures will be CONSIDERED OUTPOSTS(Read #4 Below) . (If a tribe has more than two bases marked then an attacking tribe can feel free to pick and chose which two are the actual main bases. The other ones will be labeled as outposts.)

4. Outposts can ONLY be raided when the owner's are online, but they do not have to be at the outpost.

5. Raiding is only allowed on main bases when the target is home and online, in other words THERE IS NO OFFLINE RAIDING! This means you need to do a little spying on someone's base to see that they are home and online before you can attack.

6. While engaged in a raid, you are not allowed to nearly demolish the other team's base. Only destroy the parts of their base that are necessary to gain access to the other team for fighting and for raiding their items.

7. All locked containers can be destroyed to gain the resources inside.

8. You do NOT need to declare war while in the PvP zone as long as you are attacking within the zone.

9. Auto turrets can only be on medium range max. This is because on high range the turrets will not render in for you, and kill you before you see it. Plant turrets can be on any range.


[The following rules apply to the ENTIRE map:]

1. NO placing structures on mountains where you are preventing a significant amount of resources from respawning.

2. NO blocking access to caves and mountain resources. These must be accessible by anyone and everyone at any time.

3. Turrets (auto and plant) are NOT allowed on the outside of mining bases, only inside an enclosed structure.

4. If you build a structure around a dino you are taming, you must demolish ALL of it once you are finished taming. Also, if you build structures or bases and then move to another base and are not using the old structure, you must demolish it.

5. No hacking, cheating, griefing, purposeful glitching or exploiting, or doing anything else that would give an unfair advantage over other players. No chat spamming, no outside server promotion.

First off lets get the rules out of the way:
1. No Keeping someone Tranqed out for more than 30 minutes except during a raid.
2. No foundation spamming other players areas. If you want to contest their area with an intent to build you will need to remove their build.
3. Try to keep the chat healthy. If theres an issue please take it up on our Forums.
4. No Blocking Caves that Spawn loot.
5. Remember this is a game and there is PVP.
6. No Blocking/Building Turrets at spawn Points. Spawn points are more direct and new players need access to getting around right away.

Those are really the only ones to affect players. I have an admin Mod to help destroy stuff if necessary. I Keep the server fully updated as often as possible. I have also increased the Taming to 15x faster, Increased player resistance, 10X Gathering speed and 15x Exp speed. We try to host events on Sundays as they are my days off. Events Might be something like a scavenger hunt and I add in the coords of where to look on MOD. So Even if I am not on doesnt mean there isnt something to do :)

Please Keep in mind when you join this is not an easy server to play on. I have seen some join and die and die and die including myself! It takes a bit and the higher levels and difficulty plus increased damage make it crazy hard to deal but it creates an entirely new and unique challenge. So if you like a challenge then enjoy! We have only done 1 server wipe Ever. We wont wipe the server if its not absolutely necessary and if we do wipe i always let player bring their dinos of choice if possible.

If you are looking for a challenge, you've come to the right place. If you are looking for Easy Ark... keep looking.

Max Player Level: 250
The first 50-60 levels will come to you fairly quickly, but each level gain requires more and more XP. Don't expect to hit max level for months.

Tiered Engram Structure
Eventually you will be able to buy all engrams, however teamwork is advised.

Treasure Hunt
Golden tickets can be found in randomly placed location on the map. Redeemable for fun and useful prizes.

Dinos
The giganotosaurus has been disabled. This is an environment where the focus is on imagination and creativity. No need to have that destroyed while you sleep.
The procoptodon is only available through Golden Ticket redemption. This is to provide a fairly easily obtainable reason to explore and seek out the treasures.

Limited Flying
The game changes when you are able to fly. Many dinos stop being useful. Fear tends to leave the game. For these reasons flyers are rare, with saddles only able to be obtained through Golden Ticket rewards. If you can't live without flying, this isn't the place for you.

STRONGHOLD is running the Valhalla map (roughly 4-5x the size of "The Island" map), which allows for plenty of area to build and explore. Our server is set up to allow for plenty of large tribes, as well as smaller tribes or individual players! We have started the server with settings and mods that will allow the player to actually enjoy the game rather than feel like they're playing for hours to complete the most menial of tasks. So if you're looking for a less "grindy" gaming experience on an active, growing and new server, come check us out!
