yeah i kind of agree with you, i think people are either lazy, or just running out of ideas so they just make a hat that looks like another hat already added.

Just FYI the original version of this hat was made in 2013, before the Coldsnap was added.

It's just don't even adds something new to the game.
I'd rather see some crazy stuff (like cloak for soldier from the last update. It's freckin' amazing) than this hat.
I don't saying that you done a bad work there - nono, it's looks amazing, and i'll neverly (saying that only for now, because i wanna to take some lessons about modeling ;3) make something like that, but the idea is a bit "boring" !FOR SMISSMAS!
Just try to imagine like you're the average TF2 player : you're just so hyped for smissmas, you were dreaming of new MVM / weapons and new cosmitecs and taunts (and maybe unusual effects) / or something new that noone where seen before, what will break your mind with the idea and blablabla u know. And then Boum! 15 new cosmetics with damn tiers. What will you loose after the first 3-4 days? All hype. Like with the Invasion Update.
So... Idk what can you do now... Don't you have better ideas about what to create? Maybe something unexpected, something new...
Like the footprints and spooky paints from old halloween update (which ones has been killed by "can be used only on halloween" tag). Or bumpercars...
Or maybe i'm expecting 2muchjust4oneupdate?...

I think you're expecting too much, workshoppers don't create the paints or the bumper cars. Just cosmetics and weapons and maybe taunts. Besides, this is a hat I wanted to make, so I made it. Saying "Don't you have better ideas about what to create?" comes off as pretty rude.

I don't get why u said that "better ideas" is pretty rude btw, but ok.

you know tf2 isn't as hectic and crazy and people say it is...the hats overall have some sort of relevancy, and i feel like what you want people to make is something that doesn't fit in with tf2

you ever realize how all the cool stuff is never added and all the simpler and more toned down stuff gets added? (personally i prefer the latter)

I get what you're saying, and I have a similar reaction. I really liked the Tuque-or-Treat, Horace, and the Coldsnap Cap, and I loved the Duck-Billed Platypus and was pleased when it came out, but this one just reminds me too much of those other four all-class hats. In particular, it looks like a Christmas version of the Tuque-or-Treat, using a snowman instead of a Jack-o-Lantern for its inspiration.

It's the same reaction I've had with all the Workshop submissions that just replace the Pyro's entire head with something that has nothing to do with Pyro I'd prefer something that actually matches the character's personality, rather than something that by default goes to the Pyro because they can get away with such an outlandish cosmetic. I'm not saying that those cosmetics - nor your hat - are bad, because they're usually perfectly fine; they just irk me a tiny bit, because I feel like I've already seen something that does what they do just as well. That's my two cents, anyhow.
