Star Wars TIer List.
I've been playing with the star wars civs for quite a while now and thought i'd hand in my analysis of the civs with respect to other star wars civs and the base
game civs.

Broken tier___________________________________________________________

Emperor Palpatine.

Palpatine one production per population is extremely strong which allows palpatine to focus on growth without sacrificing hammers. His production becomes so out of
control that unless you rush guilds you will be bankrupt rapidly, very early on you will be building wonders that suit your lands and strategies in 7 or so turns.
Contesting wonders vs palpatine is unwise and fighting palpatine is unwise, the trait alone makes this civ broken. I have yet to get darth vader or storm troopers
as the game is always over beforehand...

Top tier___________________________________________________________

Bail Organa

Originally i underestimated Bail Organa until i realised that alderaan university and consulates means you are allied with most if not all city states on the map
on huge maps this is a crazy bonus that will net you monster yields the patronage tree has never looked so good. Alderaan can win diplo exceptionally easily using
an enginner to one turn forbidden palace and then chilling until world leader announcement. So far i have yet to lose a game as this civ but feel a good human opponent
could overwhelm you with superior armies and rush forbidden away from you and peace block you etc.

Nute Gunray

Internal trade routes provide double yield is great and gets your initial cities up and running rapidly aswell as boosting your cities to monster populations
far quicker than most opponents. External trade routes provide a noticeable chunk of change. In an extremely hard game vs the AI i was getting 500 GPT and simply
bought my way to victory via city state allies. However i took out my wonder spamming neighbour with a sudden wave of battledroids out of nowhere considering
they are cheaper to produce than trebuchets in both production and coin. in 10 ten turns i eclipsed the world in military and stole like 12 wonders from my neighbour.
Having rifles that are cheaper to produce that trebuchets and maintenance free is notably scary although i played them diplo in my games they are capable of fielding
ginormous armies that even palpatine could not field. Grievous the 100 strength monstrosity that can para 200 tiles is also quite the threat.

Darth Sidious

Sidious is like a scarier yoda that settles 2 cities and then rushes for early war. going down the liberty tree gets you a sith archaeologist which gets you
a 5 science 5 culture + original yield tile which is equal to 2.5+ jedi libraries, the early setttler can be used to scout which can net you more ancient ruins
further solidifying your strong early. As you settle your second city so early you will easily settle before your neighbour and unless they rush tonnes of military
thus ruining their opening build they are nearly certain to get wiped out by sidious. If the game goes on you will have a tonne of amazing yield tiles at archeology
which is pretty late yet enables you to stay ahead of the competition in terms of military tech. You will definitely get you national college up before your opponent
which means you are likely to remain ahead but you are practically forced to go to war if you want to remain relevant in the game.

High Tier_______________________________________________________

Master Yoda

All of Yoda's bonuses are good ones but they aren't shockingly game breaking, the science per 2 citizens is good and will give you a small edge on your neighbours.
In my games with yoda i tried liberty honour as the libraries make going down the honor tree more doable than other civs and going to war is the only way to make use
of all of yodas traits. His armies will have the tech edge over the opposition and while at war his trait essentially gives you a free armory should you only have
barracks which is quite neat...

Mid Tier________________________________________________________

Boss Nass

They have the potential to be a high tier civ but it's situational and based on the yields available which may not be present. His unique is a bit hit or miss.
The shield generator arrives pretty late into the game. Essentially spawn on good tiles and you can be a great diplo/domination civ. Or spawn on bad tiles and quite
average. Maybe i'm just biased against coastal civs... as i much prefer land cities for multiple reasons.

Chief Chirpa

For the same reason as above if they settle in tonnes of wood and jungle they could play a defensive science rushing sort of game or diplo or domination, but
they could settle in tragic lands and most of their traits would be situationally useless. That said spawn in great lands and they will have monster yields with
all of their yield ♥♥♥♥♥ villages. Most of the games i had with them have gone pretty badly but they do have the potential to snowball hard.

Chancellor Palpatine.

The trait is mediocre and i guess it exists to mitigate your opponents damage done to you in terms of luxury bans while you're on the warpath by giving you some say in the world council.
Beyond that they are pretty generic and narrowly avoid the trash tier. Given that you are going to be going to war otherwise why would you pick this civ? Therefore domination victory the delegates aren't all that important neither are multiple cities with over 10 population. Just my perspective.

Trash tier______________________________________________________

Mon Mothma

The trait is bluntly quite garbage. Most of the other civs above this have advantages over mon mothma when it comes to war and the only strategy i can come
up with is simply... turtle till han solo. If han solo is really that good that he can carry a game sigh... "solo" then i was mistaken however the civ on paper
just bores me, surviving until solo vs the threats like gunray and palpatine is not going to be easy.

The Hutts

The tradeoff is utter junk in the trait and isn't noticeable enough to justify its existence, the gamorrean guard should be a pikeman replacement
rather than a spear that way some sort of strange gamorrean spear rush might be possible but rushing with spears seems like a pretty poor strategy. As for boba fett
screw boba fett. Can bobafett paradrop 200 tiles? Screw this civ.

Lemmy know if you agree or disagree. Yes you.
