The version from nexusmods.com is 1.6 and is quite older then in the change notes section on steam (25th dec 2015)

The update to Steam was minor and only because the steam upload was missing those files.
Moddb/Nexus are the latest version as well, there really is no difference between the 3, other than moddb/nexus being more reliable than the steam workshop.
One thing to note is, the steam workshop uses my custom blood system, while the moddb/nexus uses Dynamite Jewduh's blood system.
There is compatibility between all those 3 in multiplayer and saves and whatesoever.

Thank you! I love this mod and it's very great you guys picked it up and continued to develop it.
If you are unable to succesfully do either of those, you can still play the mod without WSE, its just that you'll run into script errors and Co-Op/MP won't be playable.
@Oberst Klink Probably after the mod is complete, I recommend you await an answer from Dynamite Jewduh for this.
1. How do I allow my friends to choose what unit they control? It seems like random assignment is the default.
2. I believe I port forwarded correctly (I am amazed) (is it just a matter of 2 minutes like I did, really?), but my friends have not yet. Tell me--can they use a program like Evolve to port forward? I know you said no Tunngle or Hamachi, but Evolve is better. I'm assuming not, but I thought I would ask!
1. They can choose what unit to control when they first spawn, if you got a companion they can pick a companion, lord, etc.
If they die, their next troop will be a random lord or companion or troop depending on who is still alive in the field, usually the closest unit is the next unit they get to control.
2. I haven't tried Evolve, I tried Tunngle and it did not work, I assume that Warband's LAN with those programs does not function properly.
If you are using Evolve or Tunngle or Hamachi that isn't port forwarding, that's LAN Emulating so you can bypass the need to port forward sometimes it works, sometimes it dosen't, Warband supports LAN so it should work, but Warband's lan system is made so that it only works in a real LAN enviroment and not an emulated one.
So all in all, Evolve/Tunngle/Hamachi Does NOT port forward for you, it merely bypasses the need to if the game can support an emulated lan enviroment.
They'll have to do it the traditional way of port forwading like you did if they want it to work properly when they host game, they can join your game even if they don't port forward.
And thanks for the info about port forwarding. You are great.
For example swadian peasant and swadian knight will both count as "Random troop".
Ohhhh you're right!!! Thanks so much. I just got Bunduk so I'll give my melee-happy friend something to smile about! :]
Awesome! Thank you very much!
