Power Transmitters

Do the transmitters draw full power even when no receivers are connected?
Do the transmitters always draw full power or only the power that is actually being used by receivers (plus loss)?

Thanks

I will test this for you.

To answer your question, yes, the Radial (Antenna Towers) DO require power, even if there are no receiving grids using it, but the Optical (Laser Domes) ones do NOT use power unless actually connected to a receiving grid.

Hope this helps!

Thanks. That's interesting. Wonder if it's by design. I guess I would have expected a cost to running them but not the full xmit power when there was no receiver. That makes them awfully expensive to run.

A simple fix would be to use long range sensors, perhaps? Just an immediate thought.

I'll add that to the to-do list for the UI update. ;)
