The Spy
Engineer idea
I love your mods and play with both the spy and the medic regularly. I had an idea for an engineer that might be a bit complicated.

Engineer

150 HP

120 hunger

250 sanity

Starts with 4 gears, a wrench and the ability to build dispencer, sentry and teleporter (Entrence and exit) Only one each. he can craft a shotgun, pistol, and wrench. Much slower movement speed. Looses lots of sanity when objects are demolished nearby.

Dispencer (Lvl 1) (Costs 4 gears too make)

- Small health and equiment durability regen while nearby
- Produces 1 gear a day (WX players will love you)
- Upgrades too level 2 after givien 8 gears

Dispencer (Lvl 2)

- Slightly more health per second
- Produces 2 gears and 1 gunpowder a day
- Upgrades too level 3 after givien 8 gears

Dispencer (Lvl 3)
- Consiterable health, sanity and durability regen when near.
- Produces 3 gears, 2 gunpowder and 1 Healing Salve a day


Teleporter (Lvl 1) (6 scrap each side)

- Bassicly a manually placed 2 way wormhole. Looses sanity when going through
- 8 gears to level up to lvl 2

Teleporter (Lvl 2)

- much less sanity lost when going through.
- 8 gears to level up to lvl 3

Teleporter (Lvl 3)

- Almost no sanity lost when going through.


Sentry (Lvl 1) (Costs 8 scrap too build)

- Shoots many low damaging projectiles at any monsters or aggro creatures.
- Has limited ammo pool. (Can craft more ammo with gunpowder)
- Has low health.
- 8 gears to upgrade too level 2

Sentry (Lvl 2)

- Shoots same projectiles much faster.
- Has higher ammo capacity
- Has more health
- 8 gears to level up to lvl 3

Sentry (Lvl 3)

- Same as level 2 in every way except shoots rockets
- Rockets do great damage but are very dangerous. Good for a defencive camp to fight bosses or hounds.


Wrench.

- Just a special meelee weapon with good durobility.
- Small chance to get 1 gear from enemies killed with it


Shotgun

-Projectile weapon. Has 6 shots before 'durability' hits 0. Doesnt dissapear when out of durability.
- Can craft shotgun ammo with gunpowder. Used to restore durability.

Pistol

- Same as shotgun but shoots fatser, More 'durability', Much lower damage.
- Pistol ammo much cheaper to craft.






Update spy and medic be able to craft a needle gun and revolver + ammo for DST.

If you cant manage to code a healing item or weapon into the game for a medic gun, You could try having the medic heal 30% more health when manualy healing someone else. Or a very good healing craftable only he could craft. (Perferably with the healing salve)



I dont know much about coding other than its not easy. I understand if this is a tall order. I just wanted to give an idea or two.

I have always considered Engineer as an option since it seems like it would be fun to make so I'll definitely keep this in mind if I ever plan to do so!

How about making The invis go into the body slot? You won't need armor anyways and i hate not being able to use the watch and a weapon at the same time to hunt.

In shipwrecked when you hit a wave facing the same way you get a boost in that direction and if you hit it any other way you get wet, right? That means there is code for objects interacting differently depending on where they are facing. Cam you make the knife do x20 or x30 damage against enemies facing the same direction as spy. That means you would have to be standing behind the enemy. Backstab!

Nice idea, but the dispenser seems a bit op to me. Health regen is reaaally good. Maybe you could add a refilling system on it, like put healing salves or something inside so that it heals. And repairing your gear is a bit overpowered imo.

True. I was thinking of it as more of a PVP kind of charictor. I like the re-fuling system idea.

I was thinking that the guns, weapons and ammo would be VERY expencive to make. Like say a few flint and sticks, ect to make a meelee weapon. A large sum of gunpowder and a good sum of gears too make the guns. For pistol 10 gunpowder 4 scrap shotgun 20 gunpowder and 8 scrap. and explosive weapons (Like demoman grenade launcher) to take an immence ammount of rescources too make for their raw damaging power. (40 gunpowder 10 scrap) And all the ammo would take a few gunpowder each. (2 gunpowder for pistol, 4 gunpowder for shotgun, 8 gunpowder for sniper round, 13 for grenade launcher, ect)

Also gun proficiencies. If the engineer uses a rocket launcher it shoots slower, does less damage, Uses more ammo, and drains sanity when used.

I have though out the other classes but I think I'll just leave the engineer here.

Who said the wrench was like a hammer? Who said it was unbreakable? Who said it did more damage?

The turret is supposed to be expencive to make and hard to upkeep but good for defence.

I specificly said the engineer is 'Much slower'
