The Metal Killer

~STATS~
Please avoid using more than 5 stats! It never works out well
Also, try staying away from broken overpowered and underpowered designs, if you can.

Current leading idea:
Pros:
  • On a fully charged headshot kill, target explodes, damaging nearby enemies
Cons:
  • -25% switch speed to weapon
  • -25% loaded ammo

Hidden stats: The explosion has a base damage of 120 that falls off to 60 damage over 120 hammer units, the equivalent of about a sticky bomb explosion.

Remastered after an idea by Bowl of Owls

The reasoning here is that since the explosion is a (Very) cool but let's be honest nitch effect, the cons should not be hurting DPS at all, and are instead hurting multiweapon use and limit the amount of time you can shoot without picking up ammo, which should be balanced.

More good ideas:
Pros:
  • Requires no Ammo
  • On Kill: Restores Shot
  • On Full Charge Shot: Highlights the victim for 2 seconds.
Cons:
  • -15% damage on Body Shot
  • Takes 3 seconds to recharge a non-kill shot
Gun is Energy Based

Seeing as the weapon is pretty high tech and cumbursome, maybe we should think towards some interesting mechanic that was not introduced yet that plays on that side of the weapon.
mishael1 9 Jan, 2016 @ 3:55pm
How about having the weapon firing a heavy-impact bullet, but seeing as it is heavy, it takes a bit longer to charge up the shot and switch to the weapon:

Pros
  • +50% knockback to hit enemies
Cons
  • 25% slower equipe time
  • -10% charge up speed
An Enemy Gamer 9 Jan, 2016 @ 4:01pm
Pros
+No Flinching While Zoomed In
+70% Knockback Reduction
+15% On Scoped Shots

Cons
-20% Slower Movement Speed While Active
-15% Slower Charge Speed
-25% On Un-Scoped Shots

And what is the purpose of this salad of stats? What's the weapon's theme? What makes this suggestion more than a bunch of stats more than a "Oh cos itsh tu balans it huehuehue"?

This suggestion has leached stats from the Cozy camper for some reason, plus this thing is OP since you can Always charge your shots and get free +15% damage, that totally makes up for the slower charge speed with a lot OP to spare. And the movement speed is easy to negate by just changing weapons as you walk to the frontlines, non issue whatsoever.

And did I mention this has needlessly more than 5 stats?

I'm thinking of it as like a Brass Beast for sniper,

Pros
Shots cause slight knockback (Identical to being shot by a Scorch Shot flare without the burning) on hit targets.
On full charge: bullets penetrate multiple players.

Cons
-15% movement speed when zoomed.
This weapon deploys 25% slower.

Instantly kills
Can't shoot
Rimzell 10 Jan, 2016 @ 1:59am
+20% damage bonus
on hit: knock back target
-15% charge time
-10% move speed

Perhaps it could be a "explosive" style of rifle that would do more damage (and obviously splash, hence explosive) at the cost of either a slower charge time/slower switch speed/slower fire rate (or a combination of a couple of them).

That's a bad idea. Sniper rifles should not get damage bonuses, as the machina demonstrates how devestaring even a minor increase is on high level play. Also-machina cloning. Plus nobody likes being totally immobile but being immobile is not even a significant downside.

The pros outway the cons, also machina cloning.

The two suggestions here are rather uncreative and it is very clear they are machina spinoffs.

As I said already passive damage increase on a sniper rifle is a horrible idea. Also, I already explained how slower speed is totally negateable on a sniper rifle, and if the stat is a passive it serves as nothing more than an inconvenience to the sniper. Horrible suggestion.
