January 27, 2016

New Gameplay
  • New map: Landfall
  • Expanded Multiplayer:
    • Landfall: Invasion, Push, Skirmish, Occupy and Firefight
  • Expanded Cooperative
    • Bastogne (Day and Night): Outpost, Conquer
    • Landfall: Checkpoint, Conquer

New Weapon Content
  • New 30 and 50 round extended magazine upgrades for Thompson M1928A1. The weapon now defaults to a 20 round box magazine. Drum magazine is restricted to Officer and Support classes.
  • New foregrip attachment for the Thompson M1928A1.
  • New Stielhandgranate model and animations.
User Experience Improvements
  • Created voting images for maps.
  • Team chat will now properly denote teams as “American Army” or “German Army” instead of “Security” and “Insurgents”.
Map Changes
  • Bastogne:
    • Added truck at A push to provide German forces with a bit more protection
      when approaching the objective.
    • Added a few more bushes throughout the map for cover.
    • Improved fog transition from playable level to 3dskybox.
    • Replaced some dev textures that were visible for the player.
    • Players can no longer hide inside the back of a convoy truck.
  • Dog Red:
    • Improved cover by the right flank up the hill.
    • Improved the right path leading to the rear bunker.
    • Optimized performance past the road.
    • Added new particle effects in various areas.
    • Modified beach bunker floors to force German team to stay close to the edge.
    • Fixed other miscellaneous issues.

  • Landfall map created by Chief-C.
  • Stielhandgranate art created by TKAzA.

Coop support is now added to DOI, along with some map changes and gameplay balance tweaks:

  • Updated Dog Red and Bastogne Day/Night.
  • Added the following Coop scenarios:
    • Bastogne Outpost (Day and Night)
    • Bastogne Conquer (Day and Night)
    • Dog Red Conquer
  • Defenders can now move into defense positions during the pre-round in Invasion mode.
  • Reduced the amount of Assault classes for both teams.
  • Increased sniper rifle weapon sway to make sniping a little bit more challenging and less dominant.
  • Increased defending team reinforcement timer in Invasion by 5 seconds (from 15 to 20).
  • Invasion now switches teams every round instead of every other round by default (can be changed server-side).
  • M1 Garand no longer costs extra for American Officer class.
  • Added third person M1 Garand animations.
  • Fixed MG 42 not showing up on players' backs.

The Day of Infamy mod has been updated, along with the beta branch version of Insurgency. To play Day of Infamy, you must be on the beta branch of Insurgency, and you must also be subscribed to the DOI mod and maps on the Steam Workshop.We’ve added a night version of Bastogne, along with Invasion mode gameplay tweaks including reinforcement counts and capture times. The crash to desktop issues have also been resolved.Coop support is in progress, but not functional at the moment. Full change list below:

  • New map: Bastogne Night
  • Updated Dog Red:
    • Fixed a bad displacement that blocked off the rear entrance to the last German bunker.
    • Improved cover near the shingles on the beach.
    • Improved stairs in the middle bunker.
    • Added separation wall in the side bunker near Charlie in push.
    • Improved cover by around the middle road up the hill.
    • Fixed various other issues around the map.
    • Improved displacements around the hills.
  • Updated Bastogne:
    • Altered the terrain a bit in front of C Push (Bunker) to add some extra cover for the attacking team.
    • Added a few more craters and foxholes around the center objective.
    • Added detail sprites to create a bit more depth into the terrain.
    • Added mortar effect for Invasion and Push gamemode. Stops after A is captured.
    • Fixed a floating tree near C Push.
    • Clipped the windows of the church tower to avoid players from jumping on the roof.
    • Updated soundscapes.
  • Fixed crash related to VPhysics.
  • Strike now has more waves and time.
  • Invasion mode only adds 15 waves per capture instead of 20.
  • Increased capture speedup in Invasion mode when multiple players are capturing.
  • Bayonets now have sounds for stabbing surfaces and players.

I love this! It's nice to see Day of Infamy and Mud & Blood working together. But will there ever be a better way to download this game in the future? The Insurgency Beta Branch thing is way too differcult for me to do and understand. :steamsad:

I'm also curious about Mud and Blood, have they just joined the DOI team? Like asked above, will we see any british forces?

They still promise to deliver their content, but instead of being a single mod, they decided to merge with Day of Infamy. Which in my opinion, is a good idea.

there is a issue id like to inform you, there is a movement problem from the NPCs in the d-day map, 1-2 npcs actually move but not shoot
