have done snd_restart
have done cache verification and have also done snd_rebuildaudiocache, not to mention a whole heap of uninstalling and reinstalling.
console says it was unable to load sound, and that it cannott create mixer.
have tried to change sound mixers, now says "unable to load" and that the sound is not in the disk reposotory
in common folder (insurgency game folder) run the core .exe as admin.
( and if you mean the insurgency.exe, running that in administrator doesnt solve the problem either)
______
EDIT:
unsubscribing and re-subscribing did not work however manualy deleting the mod and than cache verification fixed it. i have gun sound again.
1. the map were day of infamy is located is called: 601757902
(it is located at: steamapps\workshop\content\222880\601757902 and not in the same place as Insurgency the game is)
2. Delete everything in it
3. now you will have to verify the integrity of the game cache (make sure you are still subscribed to this mod)
4. after the verification a download should start with a size of ~200 MB
5. After the download is complete re-start Insurgency
hope this helped for others too
So it seems
the.exe file called insurgency.exe ithe one i am talking about.
starting it as admin fixed it for me.
I had the same problem. I did the instructions above and it worked very well. Thank you!
