I do think it's possible though.
Besides, this mod would only be minorly useful if your ship/station was HUGE, to the point where someone could be attacking/boarding you without you noticing.
I also thought of a way to do this without mods. Would it work if I build a miniature version of the station out of small-grid glass blocks, attached it to the command room floor with a small-to-large rotor, and configured lights on the small ship to various sensors in the station to indicate enemies-detected or air loss?
It'd be time consuming and different for each station, but is my logic sound?
You just put @preview into the namfe field of your pojector to scale the blueprint down, put @spin in the name so it spins really cool-like, and put @status in so it compares the bp to the ship it's on. [This is with the mod installed, of ocurse]
I have one built into my fighter so it shows an active damage report, represented by the little spinning ship hologram on my dash.
