Building on the volcano
Ive tried to build a gate onto the volcano on the island, however i can build foundations but i cant actually place a gate down, it just says cant place structure here ? is there a setting or something i need to change so i can build it ?

I believe you cannot build hardly anything in the volcano itself by default. What you can try is taming a quetz and using the stargate platform saddle, then just leave the quetz in a safe place up there with a feeding trough, not only will you get a working gate but you will also no despawn any valuable resources up there.

you can build there but you need to change the settings to alow it.
in the Gameusersettings.ini

change the :

EnableExtraStructurePreventionVolumes=true

to false
