Remote Control and Generators Suggestion
For the Remote Control: it works just fine, but i think the COST should be something with metal, wood and electronics, like the outlet for example. Nothing exorbitant, but still some cost.

Also, i would strongly suggest you put an option in the remote to turn on/off the shield. Maybe you can work the remote to be the only entry possible, turning off the DHC. SG Atlantis has almost no DHC dialling, using remotes in the ships and coms to make the dialing. Maybe you can give it a go and an option to completely turn off the DHC. There could also has an option to LOCK the remote with a pin code to prevent others to get the remote stored addresses.

For the Battery: ZPM functionality is great. I like the ideia of having an energy source like that. You should work to make an ENERGY GENERATOR that can use ZPM as fuel too. This idea is present in Atlantis. You should really work on that. Make the energy WIRELESS, like in the series. The mod CV´s Bulk Crafter has a generator called ARC REACTOR that uses Crystals to power up and provide wireless energy. This can give you some wonderfull ideas to make an electronic set with ATLANTIS ANCIENT TECHNOLOGY. It would be wonderfull.

Pin code is not good cuz it could disable/enable another shield in the map.

A portable generator could be cool, but as u said others already done that and there is no need for the structures in my mod, since rings are already always powered and stargates => ZPM

Turning off the Shields with the remote sounds cool it would be like the GDO's they have in the TV show

Yeah I love having the remote, thanks for the update on not having to dismount. Could you make it so you can force disconnect from the remote? And maybe a shorter force D/C timer as well. 6 sec is a little ridiculous.

is there a way to customize the recipe for the remote or other item. I feel the cost requirements for all this is too low for all the items. The remote should require polymer, electronics, crystals and iron. A single rock is just too op.

I had exactly the same thinking about the remote, I unlocked it on a fresh character got one rock and bam I'm holding a high tech device in my hands. didn't feel right. I would also suggest 2 metal, 1 electronic and 1 polymor?
