If you dont want them to show themselves, dont use public gates. I dont see what problem you have
I am planning on doing the same thing that qwaithir is doing and placing a bunch of gates around the map for people to use and discover. I would like to use the public gates since they dont require a zpm and can be placed directly on the ground but I dont want the address shown in the available address list. I did place the
[Stargate]
HideAddress=True
in the GameUserSettings.ini but it only removed the gate address shown at the individual startgate itself and not the available address list.
I dont mind if the address at the gate itself is shown, but is there a seperate command to just hide the available address list?
The list of gates, public and private, still show in the address book though.
I was wondering though if it would be possible to have a config option to have the gate history enabled, but leave the rest hidden? i.e.
HideHistory=False
It would also be great to be able to manually populate the bookmark list on the right, but appreciate that it is probably unfeasable to do that.
Having the history appear on the left only would enable people to return to a gate easily and get back to their private gates easier without making the whole process too easy.
(Although I personally don't need it, might be nice to have a boolean for the hiding of the gate address at the top aswell? Give people some more choice when configuring their servers).
