Great mod overall but a few issues
Okay so I have to say I am very impressed with this mod, well done. However if I may there are a couple things that I had issues with.

First, durability. The Faded Ribbon seems to have over 5 sanity regen/minute, much like the Tam'o'Shanter. Yet, it has no durability. Crafting one should either be harder, or it should have a durability attached to it.

The Tam'o'Shanter is a 25% drop from a monster that is only active during winter. Given his respawn time of 2.5 days, I'd say if someone really tried they could kill an average of 5-6 MacTusks during winter, which would drop on average 1.5 Tams. Granted you can't have a half so we will be reducing that to a round 1, since most people do not camp MacTusk constantly and kill him as soon as he respawns.

1 Winter and you get 1 Tam for 1 player. The Tam'o'Shanter has a durability of 25 days, and a sanity restoration of +6.67sanity/min. Plus the fact that it can only be obtained during winter, it has a high barrier to entry overall.

Based on how easy the Faded Ribbon is to make and how much bonus it gives (over 5, since it completely negated the darkness), it should have substantially less durability than the Tam'o'Shanter. Like somewhere in the 5-7 day range. Now, this could be extended if someone were to use a sewing kit on the Faded Ribbon, but the base should be 5-7 days of solid wearing.

Additionally, I do not know if this was an error, but the Manly Bandanna said 100% durability, but durability did not go down ever, even when I was fighting Deerclops.

Next up, the Burnt Pan. The Burnt Pan should either have substantially lower damage than the Worn Knife, or have a durability amount. The Worn Knife's infinite durability is fine due to the insanity aura it provides, but the Burnt Pan gives bonuses and no penalties combined with infinite uses. Even Chara would prefer the Pan over the Worn Knife, because even if the Pan doesn't heal them, the Pan does more damage, and gives no sanity penalty.

The other things seemed pretty alright, though. I especially liked how the Torn Notebook gave all magic crafting recipes, but creating a recipe did not prototype it.

If you really want to keep these things with infinite durability, please just add a configurable option to add a durability.

I said "First, durability", but I honestly have no problems with this mod other than that. Amazing mod, great art, very impressed overall.

EDIT: Another way to make the Burnt Pan balanced would be to make it like a portable crock pot with a certain number of uses before a new one must be crafted. This would require a complete overhaul of the item, though. Heck, if it were a portable crock pot it might not even need a durability amount. although, it would make sense that it would only work under a fire.

Whatever you decide, thanks for considering my suggestions!

Thanks for your very indepth thoughts about this character. It's really appreciated.

Right now we're tweaking up a few bugs that need to be fixed first. The transformations taking effects when they shouldn't, Transforming into a certain characters when you shouldn't, and having other characters stats rather than the one you were to suppose to have.

I can't promise much of anything, especially since im more biased towards permanent weapons for funsies. But tweaking numbers and recipes is something that i'll keep in mind.

Right, so if you want to keep permanent weapons and such it would be amazing if you could add durability of items to the options slider, perhaps with infinite on default.
spriily 4 Feb, 2016 @ 10:19pm
Yeah, I think having it as an option sounds like the best idea.

Actually, to make it easier for dedicated servers, it might be better to have default options be balanced, and infinite as an option which can be changed. This will allow for the casual players to easily change the settings to infinite, without giving a huge headache to dedicated server hosts in trying to figure out how to have non-default settings on their mod.

nerf those a bit, then make a Hardmode version and nerf them even more.

Can you reduce the time between Chara n' Frisk Transformation?
Like srlsy, make a config option to choose the transformation delay time.
mecucu 17 Feb, 2016 @ 11:40am
I believe the time between Chara and Frisk's transformation is properly balanced, but you'd have to take that up with OP

After playing the character a lot, I dont think so. 20 minutes is way too long in my opinion. I could see 10 minutes, but there's not even a timer to indicate how long you have, plus I think that everytime you die and come back, if your'e chara, the timer resets
mecucu 18 Feb, 2016 @ 9:57am
Okay, then just don't die as Chara; it's not that hard to do. Chara has 80% natural armor. Combine this with a log suit or football helmet for 96% resistance. If you really want to go for invincible use a marble suit for 99% resistance. Even without healing items this effectively makes her HP so absurd you won't even be needing healing items. In fact I think I calculated this out and while I might be wrong I believe Chara + Marble Suit + Real Knife can solo the Dragonfly. I might be remembering wrong, though, so if I did my bad. I know for certain she can solo Deerclops with a football helmet and a real knife, though. She'll kill Deerclops without even losing all that much health.

While I do agree that having a timer to see how long until the next transformation is available, I am still firm in my opinion that the time between transformation is balanced. You could probably even reduce transformation time down to 15 or even 12 (but 12 is reeeally pushing it) and still have it be balanced, to be honest. But 10 minutes is a bit too fast, in my opinion.

tl;dr git gud

Although, I would endorse adding a config slider for this, as while some people like me like playing the game properly balanced and difficult, some people just like to play more powerful characters just for funsies, like OP. A config slider would allow for both people to be happy, hopefully having the balanced version be set as default (changing config options on dedicated servers is ugly).

mecucu 18 Mar, 2016 @ 12:20pm
I have literally no idea what you're talking about.

AFAIK, there's no "Mercy" button. You simply /don't fight/.

@kkdanyal78 There's no Mercy button, that's the bonesaw emote. Do it by typing /bonesaw as Frisk.
