Enhanced Skill-Trees
Hey man, I just ran into this mod here that allows a class to have up to 7 PERKS per rank. (or you can just stick to 3 skill-tree like in Long War). Seems all you gotta do is add more abilities to your skilltree per ranks. (any user without this expanded skilltree mod would only see 2 skill per ranks as usual.)

Check it out man!

I'm still having issues with the AWC so I'll wait until I fix that before adding more. Adding more skills may effect vanilla players not using this mod though.

It's probably better to make another version of the mod if you want to expand the skill tree, just to retain vanilla compatibility.

@Richard That makes sense yeah. :)

Once the mod is cleaner with the AWC fixed etc then I will start a cross compatible mod. (as a seperate mod)

On a side note I've started setting my skilsl to be "Crossclasscompatible" I assume this means the AWC will pick them up in its list. Have any of my custom skills (eg hipfire) appeared for other classes at all?

This is confirmed to work. I just got "Shadow Veil" on my sharpshooter. Shadow Veil is a custom ability for my Assassin class that gives +10 Dodge. Now I have the ultimate gunslinger mwahahahahaa.

Yep, I also got Tactical Sense on a Ranger. Not bad at all.

Concerning AWC problems, there's now the Chooseable AWC Perks mod:

Based on a quick look at the comments, there seems to be some problems still and it might or might not fully work with custom classes, but it's probably the best solution for now and perhaps worth a mention in your mod description.

Thanks again Hazard :D When I finish my current playthrough I'll ge to messing around with this. I hope we get an update/some documentation soon from Firaxis.

Hum. I'm actually having problems getting that AWC mod to work with my current game. Would be nice to know if it's a conflict or if the mod just doesn't like on-going games...

And yeah, there's definitely some room for Firaxis to improve on the mod tools still.
