The only problem I thought there might be is there might not be enough lines (these mods take a lot of different quotes). Do you know if Robocop's voice is different in the sequels? (different actor?). Just I might need to use the whole trilogy to get enough lines, but if the actor/voice is different it would probably sound weird. I have only seen the first film so I don't know if the actor changes.
So basically Robocop 1 and Robocop 2 are your best bet. I don't think it will matter too much if there are not many lines as long as you get the classics. Should be fine IMO.
If/when the mod is released I'll post in here to let you know!
The problem now is it's taking up a lot of my free time. XCOM 2 has been out for, what, 2 months now (?) and I am yet to finish it because of constant work on these mods. I would like to finish the game, not to mention have time to do other things in my free time, so I will likely be taking a break from modding, or maybe even stopping completely.
However I know you guys want this, so I will offer to help create the mod if one or more people want to collaborate on it. The time consuming part of the whole modding process is finding the quotes (i.e. watching the films), recording these quotes, editing them so they sound right, and then choosing which quotes go with around 180 different actions in-game. If someone wants to do those parts then I can use the modding tools to turn it all into a mod. It doesn't take a great deal of skill or tools to do any of this - Audacity (free software) can be used to record and edit quotes, and any word processor or spreadsheet can outline which quotes should go with which in-game actions. It just takes a lot of time. Personal circumstances mean I've got less free time now, not to mention several big expenses this month so I won't be buying DVDs any time soon (I don't own RoboCop 2 or 3, and I can't even begin the mod until I buy those).
So I'm sorry guys. I'd be happy to help, but it's too much for me to handle on my own right now. If you can wait perhaps I will get to it a few months down the line, but I can't promise anything.
