The "conspiracy blogger" backstory uses the plural pronoun "they" instead of the singular pronoun "he/she." It's a bit disconcerting. This might also be an issue with other backstories, though I haven't checked.
A few of the backstories also use "Advent" instead of "ADVENT." The latter way of writing it is much more common, so I'd recommend standardizing this for the sake of consistency.
I missed that in Conspiracy Blogger? ...damn it, that's one of the first ones. I swore I caught all the early bugs. ...wonder if that was an old save I overwrote when I had to restore from backup?
Thank you! I'll fix these for the next update!
-- The "underground shelter community" backstory only uses male pronouns instead of both male and female pronouns.
-- The backstory that begins with "A new recruit of XCOM's during the invasion..." should have a "when" instead of a "before." Also "that area" can be rewritten as "the surrounding areas" for less subject ambiguity.
-- The backstory that begins with "When (Country) surrendered, they did so out of necessity..." should have the punctuation written inside the quotation marks.
-- The backstory that begins with "After the aliens destroyed EXALT's headquarters..." should have a space before the parenthesis.
-- The "New New York" backstory should have quotation marks around the sentence "New New York. Whose ♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea was that?" to show that it's a quote by the soldier rather than part of the report.
-- The backstory that begins with "When the Avenger veterans speak of..." has the word "capitulation" capitalized when it should be lowercase.
-- The backstory that begins with "[Name] wanted a better life growing up in[Country]" does not have a space before the country name.
-- The backstory that begins with "'Four dead and my pulse is still under 80...'" should have the punctuation inside the quotation marks. Also double quotes would be recommended instead of single quotes.
-- The backstory that begins with "News of a small group of dissidents..." should have the punctuation inside the quotation marks. Also "they" can be replaced with "the group" for less subject ambiguity.
;Time Bomb
strCharacterBackgroundMale[49]="<XGParam:StrValue1/!FirstName/> is a time bomb waiting to explode. He has psychotic urges and strong desire to kill. He was recruited after he rescued XCOM operatives during a mission gone bad.<br.As long as we point him at our enemies, we should be okay."
That last <br> is missing the greater than symbol, or whatever it's called.
Oh. *facepalm* Right, I fixed that in the old file but I was working on a old external txt file this time.
