So this mod has an issue where the 2K launcher doesn't see this mod from steam, and I have no idea why. Because of this, it will not appear in the files that tell XCom "Dude, you should be reading these files."

So to fix that, you need to manually tell XCom to look for this mod, and mention that it exists. It's a pain, but it works.

Note1: I have formatted the lines to add with code for readability, and this comment was in the discussion, in response to another person who got it to work. Otherwise, this discussion is for people who don't want to delve through the discussion to find out the solution.

Note2: When adding more mods, there is a risk of the launcher deleting these lines. I think it happens when you refresh the mod list, but this needs testing. So if you boot up XCom and realize your skin colors are missing (like I did), just make sure to check your files before unsubscribing in rage (unless you hate diving into files, and changing things manually. TBF, I don't like it either).
