I didn't understand, you can just force the NPCs to the faction your playermodel belongs to. It isn't hard.

Custom playermodels are always Rebel faction by default, but you can change this in the options.

How do you force them?

there is a button right next to the "Tools" folder called "Options". Most addons have their options in this folder. Just look for Inpc inside it

Is there any way to automate this process? I opened the mod with GMAD and had a look around, and there's a section that seems dedicated to assigning factions to the base game playermodels; attempting to add to this list, however, does nothing.

I've attempted to add the names of custom playermodels as listed in the in-game context menu as well as the .mdl name of a given playermodel, but neither of these work.

you can use advanced playermodel selector, let's say you want rebels to be on your side but you want a combine playermodel

respawn with a rebel playermodel, giving you the resistance faction
then choose the combine playermodel and change your playermodel (WITHOUT respawning)
boom, your a combine soldier with the rebels. it isnt that hard honestly

You're taking advantage of a loophole, Clod. I can't speak for everyone obviously, but I believe the general idea is to have a way to do this with iNPC that doesn't rely on other addons; at the very least something that doesn't require you to respawn every time you want to change factions.
