Fantastic work I must say, nothing big but yet so great to work with.

What I would like to see as a update on the soldier review window is the shadow chamber report.
You always see the number of enemy's you will encounter before clicking a mission and when you are loading up your soldiers can make you forget some small details, especially in late game that is!

I had a time when I had a general view on what the aliens were but I forgot one of the listed... which were the Chryssalids, I had my man fully geared up for heavy mechs and armor schredding troups who could defeat the troops I remembered not knowing I missed out one small detail.
Damn that Medic would be for good use if I only had a heads up on the menu!
But what can I say? If you have those late game missions with 28 aliens then it's possible to forget one or two from that quick glimpse right?

I think we should be able to damand the report once again while gearing up our troops as the Commander who runs the whole mission right!

Here's an idea. I can't seem to find any way to find out what ammo was put on what soldier, and who is carrying what type of grenade, when the mission has actually begun. So, some sort of icon or notification of that, maybe?

I have a idea which can be a seperate mod aside from this one.
I don't know if it would be possible to do this but there is a lot of people looking for a mod like this (So if you want a mod what stands out on the frontpage this would be the one)

A lot of people pre-ordered Xcom2 to get the facy looking "Resistance Warrior Pack"
This pack includes some graphical updates: new hair small details and new armour!
But the big problem what people find with this pack including me is that you can't equip the armour in the Character Pool menu, so people can't make characters with those fancy costumes!

I do think that the devs won't accept any Workshop creators to give them the armour for free so people who didn't pre-order this game can have their hands on the good lookin' armour.
But it would be fantastic for the players who have the armour already can make Characters which can be added in the pool.

Is there already a solution to this matter? or is this simply impossible?
Please let me know what you think of this idea.

-------

I just saw the Workshop item, too bad the creator made the text just blindly in the middle of the screen without any window-box around it.

Now you have just floating red text which goes over the faces of your soldiers,
but I can see your point.
It's done already so we should move on.

Thanks anyway! (I just thoughd it would be great to have included with this mod)

There is a mod that does allow the alien info already on the mission screen, so I think it'd be best to focus on honing this mod specifically than do something already done, just my opinion.

My latest suggestion is giving listing the soldier's stats above the loadout tab from a hover node. You just hover over the tab or button with your mouse and it lists the information like so. I am having problems with the current settings of having information on the right side of the loadout menu, and it is pushing my characters, and the loadout UI offscreen. Perhaps splitting the information on both sides of the loadout bar would work better? Half on the left, half on the right.

It should spawn a scrollbar automatically... Can you provide a screenshot ?

Please let me know what you think of this idea.

You can first import your characters into the game, then give them the armor, and then export characters to the character pool, and they will retain their armor.

I actually ended up with a cool glitch which removed the ballistic pads from "Arms 0" from one of my main soldiers, giving him a more unique look.

So basicly from what I understand from your comment is that you have to go in the game, recieve one of the Characters from your pool with the wrong armour.
And then equip the "Resistance Warrior Pack" armour on it and save it to the character pool.
Which is odd, since it will not overwrite the character in the character pool but just create another character (clone)

On top of that: if you review your saved character from the game itself it still doesn't show the Resistance Warrior Pack armour on it.
So... is it one of your mods fixing this issue's and I am not aware of this?
Or is it so that there is nobody else would love to actually equip the armour right away when creating a character in the Pool right away?

Yeap, basically it's creating a better looking clone, I just deleted the extras that I didn't want. I just took another look, and it seems to have reset itself, however, a mod that you could use is the "Rookie Armor" mod that forces new soldiers to wear the Resistance armor by default.

I had disabled it temporarily, but when it was active, my soldiers retained the Resistance armor when I exported them to the pool initially.

Hi, I'm the author of the mod that shows the shadow chamber info in the Squad Select screen.

It looks like we are both receiving requests to merge them. I would be totatally cool with you merging my mod into yours. There is next to no code for mine and it is limited to the OnInit function.

Note that I did reposition the text and recolored it so it is more readable and flows from the other mission info in the screen. It should not cover the soldier's face (at least I haven't seen so many enemy types in a mission that would causes that).
