Unturned

[Re-Uploaded] Rain's WW2
Observations and Tests
Before I begin critiquing, let me again thank you for your time and effort to make this mod. Everything looks nice, and I haven't noticed anything like missing textures or clipping problems yet. The MG42 and Garand sounds are great, and I have no issues with the mp40.

Metal Values
  • The Garand producing eight scrap seems a bit excessive, as does its repair cost of five.
  • Similarly, the Sten producing five scrap when recyceled also seems high
  • Six scrap to repair he Kar98 is also rather unusal compared to the normal requirements to fix items in Unturned.
  • Although the repair cost for the M1919 and MG42 are high, I feel they fit the value of large heavy support weapons.

    Ammunition Oddities
    • The MG34 will allow the attachment of a Nykorev box, and the M1919 a Dragonfang box.
    • Sten SMGs will feed from "Military Magazines" (ie the ingame STANAG)
    • Bullets can be transfered from a Browning box to a MG-34 box, but not vice versa.
    • I don't mind cobra mags refilling Sten and MP40 magazines, but it seems a little odd that they can feed into thompson mags and drums.
    • Sten and Mp40 mags can't exchange bullets, or be used in the other gun, though they could share magaziness in real life.
    • Colt Magzines can be used in the Welrod. I'm actually fine with this - its one less thing to manage and clutter inventory. The current Welrod Magazine inventory icon is really tiny and ahrd to see as well.
    • Speaking of small icons - the Thompson magazine icons ore tiny, and only take up one inventory space. You should probably make them fit in two, and add some visual distinction to make it more clear which is which. Perhaps 20 are verticle and 30 are horizontal to make a diffrence when fitting into inventory rather than just a clear winner on size.
    • Tommygun boxes and drums can't exchange ammo to top off.

    Other Oddities
    • Welrod durability seems oddly high.(integral silencers tend to wear out easily) It probably shouldn't have a barrel attachment point to put a silencer on top of the silencer either. The bolt cycle sound could be a bit quieter as well.
    • Most pictures have the k98 in somewhat lighter colored wood, which would help ID it in inventory or on the ground.
    • Most of the weapons have a "tactical attachment" slot that really shouldn't be a part of their design.
    • I think real MG42 drums were 50 or 75 rounds, not 100.
    • None of the 6 space SMGs are usable with the secondary weapon slot. However, as these are heavy all steel WWII era weapons, that does not bother me.
