Are you runing this is on single player? or multiplayer? are you the host if multiplayer? What is your load order this should be close to top? have you Configed your advanced profile settings? to define what the ai can and cant see along with maybe the config for the mod located in the appdata last time i checked? or in the main folder for the workshop stuff? in sub folder userconfig.sqf or what not. that will fix your problems also dont drop right ontop of each other. try a benchmark mission?

I'm only playing on single player , when I start the mission :

Esc → Addon option → ASR AI3 → Overwrite mission . should I chose it ?

or just chose the overwrite clients ?

Good question. I also want to know.

Spawn AI, shoot in their direction close enough for them to hear it, if they shoot back you can assume thats because ASIR is working, if not, its the vanilla AI which cant tell they are being shot at from 125*

I noticed, the menu, those options will require you to use asrai3 with those mission files forever, sad but true, I tried to remove it, even for a new mission file, after 1 save, must have asrai

You need to load the mission with ASR AI active, than save and now important: not binarise the file.
After this, open the missionfolder on your desktop, open your mission and the "sqm" file "mission" with an text editor. Inside you will finde mostly on the top "Addons", like "A3_Charakters_F" etc. in this addon list, you will also find 2 addons: " ASR_Skills" and "ASR_Weaponconfig". Just delet those 2 addons from the list, save the file and close it. After this you can play the mission again normal, also without ASR AI.

Thanks tons for the info - Now I can give this a go with less corruption worries, since I'm relatively green on A3 mods interacting like that

Wow that's a lot of steps. I thought the mod just replaced how the AI works under the hood with no changes necessary.
