Salute not working?
I loadup my mission (top gun) and when i get an aircraft (f14 or f18) i lower the launch bar to USS Nititz and then hit salute, problem is when I hit salute it does nothing and the aircraft is stuck there. I have always tried this in the editer so it has nothing to do with the top gun mod to my knowledge. This only started after the Oct 17 update

It's a known issue which will be overcome with the 0.97 update (2016-10-23) which is being pushed through the distribution channels right now.

I feel really dumb asking this, but where is the nimitz ini file that needs altering.

"Until a bug fix release is being published, please put
TTT_disablePPCat = false; publicVariable "TTT_disablePPCat";
into the Nimitz init box or in Init.sqf. "

usually these files are under "user appdata" or inside the main "mod" folders under "steamapps" etc.. I also did a windows explorer search for the file with nothing. I'm sure i'm complicating it way to much. haha

Right click on the Nimitz icon, select attributes, top most field contains the init box. Update for this should be out anytime, though. It's been published on play with six and armaholic as well, just waiting on Rory to sync steam.

Still in Editor with the advised text in the nimitz box, salute does nothing. 2 Weeks ago it worked, i was catapulted from the carrier, but now nothing happens.

I use the salute function basically on every test day and it never stopped working. Do you have a mission that reproduces the problem?

Solved the Issue. when I take command about units in Zeus, the units cant use the Salute Function in their plane, I have to fly personally.

yeah, schneeflocke, remote controlled units do not work with all the scripts (except the rescue script), as well as there are some issues with respawned units somehow not synced to some nimitz modules anymore

Sadly in 2018, the UCAV Sentinel from the jets dlc is having the same problem in Nimitz :/
