also for my first empire that i'm busy with i made it based around the rocket engines and rockets in the mod and had it rush those techs while taking a few commerce techs here and there, so while fast and deadly with rams, everything is just weak-ish.
i could use a few generic empires as the basegame has 9 or so strats so adding a equal or greater amount of strats will diversify the game allot.
the next one I'm making is turtle-centric with only a single design for a airship, building and landship where it just builds it up.
after that i will do a super generic one where it just researches everything in order by tier.
stuff like that, but you can also just base it around having arches everywhere or using de-couplers every battle to make a turret fragment in the game using de-couplers. but you can also just base it on spaceships or fleets/building/iconic styles of foreign countries or your own(though in my case windmills would be weird). hell you could just make one that's based around cat shapes for the heck of it.
Btw did add 1.5 empires already in yesterday's update so... There's that
that will work, though it's not nessary it will make them use it more likely, also for some reason when building stuff they prefere to build the most exspensive things they can so you can have something small "evolve" into something bigger if you want, if you keep the upkeep low something like 0 or negative it will mean they will field more ships, the commerce things help in this as they need alot of space to produce money so they can't build as much fodder as otherwise.
also it is posible to have the ai upgrade things a few time in the same tier if for instance you build something that cost 4000 and have several stages to upgrade it due to lack of funds for several stages.
