That said, I am planning on looking at a voxel based collision avoidance for Homing Pigeon, if I can get this working as intended, then there may be some potential for applications to land and sea based dinos.
And when the dino inevitably engages something and ends up in a situation where it cannot path find back to a post? Not something I would want to deal with.
Perhaps an idea for another mod. I have no plans to implement this as it is out of scope for the purpose of this mod.
Another cool thing would be if you had the animal on attack my target, or aggressive it would switch to neutral if you die.
All good ideas, but I feel quite strongly about the design direction for this mod and so these requests are out of the scope of what this mod is designed to do.
II'm not a fan of teleporting, feels cheap and unbalanced, which is why so much effort has been put into making Homing Pigeon as realistic as possible, ie: physically flying the flyer between two points.
I am closing this thread now as I have answered the original author's question. Support for land dinos and sea dinos is not something I will be adding to Homing Pigeon.
