Flyers Dissapearing
We wanted to try the mod and see what happens and how does it works. We sent Two Argentavis with it. One was sent to a Homing Pigeon Flag via calling, with a big distance difference, the other was left on the aire while a player suicide to see if it would return, this one was made pretty close to base, barely out of render vision. Both of them dissapeared. They appear En Route, and nothing we do make them appear. Any ideas on how to fix this ?

If the flyers appear in the menu but have not made it back to flag then they have probably gotten stuck en route, which is rare, but can happen from time to time.

Also when asking for help it's useful to provide some other basic information such as:

- Server Type (single, non-dedicated or dedicated)
- Map

The only thing I can suggest you do is to send another flyer to the same flag from the same spot as you sent/recalled the others, and manually follow behind it on another flyer, following the route it takes. You might get lucky and find the others and discover what they got stuck on.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again: equip your flyers with GPS trackers so that you can find them in the event something unexpected happens.

Map is Crystal Isles and is a Dedicated Non official server. Yes that is what i thought happened with the fist we sent, since it was a big distance, but the second one, was barelly away from the flag, straight line in the air with no obstacles on the straight path, and dissapeared, we look around and we couldn't find it. I believe that somehow, the argy was teleported, and maybe, with some collision problem that won't allow it to fly back. We cannot test this much since we have no admin privileges, but i don't say it to fix my problem right now, rather that you could fix it from the core. I might not be giving you too much information, but something is causing trouble.

@Climowitz As I have posted on the main comments thread of the mod page, and on the bugs thread, there is currently an issue with Crystal Isles map with the collision detection for the "world ceiling". I am in the process of investigating and will be fixing.

For the time being I would advise not using the mod with this map.

If you fly straight up from where you flyers took off you are likely to find them at the ceiling bounds of the world.

Ok thanks, i'll try that and remove it for now. A shame because it's a great funcionality that should be incorporated as part of the game. Thank you, and i hope you can get it workin asap.

hi, just wanted to say i had the same issue on crystal isles, and I did find my wyvern at the ceiling but she was a few islands over from where i'd recalled her from. I'm removing the mod for now but will keep watching the mod comments for when it's fixed, as i love the idea of not losing my pretty crystal wyvern if i die and can't find her again

I have just released v3.1.2 of Homing Pigeon. This release fixes the issue with flyers getting stuck on the ceiling bounds of Crystal Isles. Flyers will now fly at a safe distance under the ceiling bounds, and should no longer get stuck.
