How large is Madagascar Evolved?
It is slightly larger than the Island.
Why is The Center required to play this map?
Madagascar Evolved uses some assets from the center. If you don't have the center installed, the map will still run, but the ocean will look yellow and polluted.
Do Dinosaurs from Scorched Earth spawn on this map?
Yes
Is Scorched Earth DLC required to play this map?
No
Are Scorched Earth Resources available on this map?
Yes, they are available. They occur in drier areas.
Are there wyverns and egg nests?
Yes
Is there a wyvern trench such as the world scar from Scorched Earth?
Not yet. I’m working on something unique to Madagascar.
Does Madagascar Evolved run on Mac?
No, but it will at some point.
Are there caves on the map?
There are two caves. More will be added. Caves are WIP.
Are there artifacts on the map?
No. They will be added with caves in future updates.
Where is metal on the map?
There is metal in every biome. Look near hills and cliffs.
Where are the redwoods?
Madagascar uses baobab trees in pace of redwoods. They are spread out around the map. Look for the large brown "super" baobabs, they support treehouses and produce sap.
How far into development is Madagascar Evolved?
I’ve been working on it regularly for a year and there’s still a lot to add. The whole map is playable and 99% of the landscape is permanent.
How do I set up this map on my server?
Please refer to your hosting provider for specific instructions on how to install and run map mods.
