Not only does the phrase "it's very likely" fall far short of confirmation, unless you have a link saying otherwise we have yet to hear Valve's stance on the project which is the important element in determining whether or not it will be a confirmed 100% going-to-happen update.
That said if you want this content to have a better chance of being added to the game you can help by up-voting the things you like and spreading the word.
Hopefully now we can stop digging this hole.
I wanted a new MvM update since we haven't gotten one in almost 3 years.
But I guess we'll have to stick with this!
