I don't know if it's related, but I can no longer get anywhere near the caves without my FPS plummeting to such a degree the game becomes unplayable. I used to play ShigoIslands a lot, but haven't played in a month or 2. I just started a new game (SOLO) a couple of days ago and in most places I have 40-60 FPS. The 1st cave I tried was the one in the mountainside near the Mushroom Redwoods. I flew in, got off my bird, and suddenly couldn't move. Was surrounded by mean critters who proceeded to eat me because I couldn't fight as the FPS was so low... I just froze, so I had to ctrl-alt-del to get out of the game. Tried it again after restarting and the same thing happened. Also, the cave entrance looked like it had something covering it as I approached, like a shower curtain or something... I knew something was wrong because, as I said, I've played Shigo before and never had these issue. Any ideas?

This discussion can be closed because we found a solution to our problem. Due to not reading the tooltip of the mod better beacons(only works on the island) we managed to break the map. After removing this mod we no longer have cave shifting and everything works fine. Sorry for the blunder, very embarrassing, much wow.
