I'm glad you like the shifter. If I ever get time/motivation I have half a mind to make the shifter change with the transmission; range valve where appropriate, or twin stick when I get around to making compounds, and proper handle type/badge/pattern decal on the dash. The hockey puck is by far my favourite though.
I'm guilty of staring at the interior while driving too (though I'm usually looking for bugs, etc!). Depending on your graphics settings, if you look closely, you may also notice the rim of the steering wheel has handprints on it. :P
As for zipping, yes, it's supposed to be so. I think you'll agree that a ~7mb file is preferable when updating than the 50mb or so it is uncompressed. Some people have limited bandwidth quotas. It's not highly compressed so there's very little overhead cost when the game loads it.
Graphics all maxed in game settings, 1920x1080, evga gtx970.

hopefully the sceenshot shows.
It would be nice to see the shifter work, but I cant imagine the amount of work that take, letalone a 5x4 shift. I will have to look for handprints on the wheel.
Yes, the .zip is likely better. Good to hear your concerned with bandwidth useage, it really sucks so many ISP's charge rediculous rates for it.
Thanks again for the great truck!
Update: 25 Jun @ 11:34pm
v1.0.3
-Improved quality of some interior textures/materials
Seems to be fixed now, can not see any of the road lines thru the firewall/floor. (barely noticeable road line reflections on the chrome blinker arm only)
Great work Smarty!
