For Modders
The ultimate goal of UMC is to unite all modding and scenario design under one roof. To this end, UMC has added over a thousand entries to the proto (more than the entire Tale of the Dragon DLC) and more than doubled the number of avialable terrain textures. If there exists a limit on how much modding Age of Mythology can take, UMC is going to find it!

Here are a few reasons why your unit or terrain mod should be part of UMC:
  • Publish and update your own standalone mod while making it compatible with the largest collection of mods for AoM - only data is used by UMC
  • Retain full control over your data in UMC High Priority
  • Immediately promote your content to the entire UMC subscriber base
  • Don't worry about porting your content from the disk version, we can do it for you!
  • As a full partner in the UMC project, you have a say in the direction UMC takes
  • You retain the right to remove or modify your content at any time

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you update your mod's data files (shared with UMC High Priority), you must notify me (Callistonian) if you want these changes to be included with UMC. The easiest way to do this, is to send (email, etc.) me text files containing only the edits made. I will typically have UMC updated with your changes within the week. We must operate like this because Steam unfortunately does not allow contributors to push updates for Workshop mods. I encourage you to publish your content as a standalone mod so that you can push art updates to your subscribers immediately. You may also include your own data files so that your subscribers have additional options; however, UMC's data files should not be copied into your mod.

Before you remove or make serious edits to a mod that is part of the UMC collection, please contact me so I can notify any scenario designers who may be using your mod.

Not all content will be eligible for inclusion in the UMC collection. Inappropriate, offensive, or low quality content will not be considered. Whether or not your content is included in UMC is at the discretion of myself and the current UMC collaborators.

If you have any questions about the UMC project, please contact me by sending me a request on Steam.
