For now...
ϟpArTaN ™ 30 Jul, 2016 @ 1:30am
is there a max damage cap for each weapons?
StigOnStæm 17 Aug, 2016 @ 3:56pm
the config file doesnt seem to be doing anything. I changed the damage of the Auto Rifle to 1, but it still one shots everything.

[DeadlyWeapons]
BasicBoltDamage = 500
BasicBulletM9Damage = 800
BasicAutoRifleAmmoDamage = 1
MagnumTypeBulletDamage = 1500
BasicSniperBulletDamage = 2000
BasicBoltActionBulletDamage = 5000
ShotgunExplosiveAmmoDamage = 1500
ShotgunRocketAmmoDamage = 800
BasicRocketLauncherDamage = 6000
BasicBoltTranqDamage = 25
BasicDartTranqDamage = 25
ProfDartTranqDamage = 25
BasicRocketTranqDamage = 100
ElectricBulletM9Damage = 15
ElectricBulletAutoRifleDamage = 25

the file path is \Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

What could be the problem?
ps. yes, its gameusersettings.ini, and Singleplayer

also, is there any way to tweak the recipes? the recipes are pretty steep if I'm lessening the damage.

Ignore this, I found that I needed to save the file using the "Save As" option rather than "Save".
Still not working for me, i copied and wrote exactly what you have here, and when server manager launch it delete the spaces betwen the equal:

BasicBoltDamage = 500

change it to:

BasicBoltDamage=500

Maybe is not working for this?

I tryed to do it manually, not upload from server manager, the option that says cmason, and i dont know still not working, is posible to tame a giganto in only 5 shots.

How can i dicrease this? is too easy for the player, but w like a lot the idea and the mod.

Also @cmasonw0070 you can use the follow code in your Game.ini to change crafting costs, just replace what I have with the values you want.

This is changing crafting requirement for this mod's "AdvancedBullet2_Custom" (electric M9 bullet)- making it cost 5000 angler gel, 500 electronics, and 100 advanced m9 bullets from this mod. The "_C" is necessary after the item name "_Custom" is part of the item name in this mod; vanilla items like angler gel are just "AnglerGel_C"
ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemAmmo_AdvancedBullet2_Custom_C",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_AnglerGel_C",BaseResourceRequirement=5000,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Electronics_C",BaseResourceRequirement=500,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemAmmo_AdvancedBullet1_Custom_C",BaseResourceRequirement=100,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false)))

Finding engram names
Look in server folder under ShooterGame > Content > Mods > (mod ID you want engrams from) > *look for a folder usually named "engrams" or similar*

Finding mod IDs
Go to the mod page and the url end is (for this mod): com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=665094472
665094472 is the mod ID

Is there a way to change the crafting *level* required to craft specific engrams as well as the resources required (above)?

Sorry for coming late to the party, but are these the DEFAULT settings, or the RECOMMENDED settings? In other words, is it strongly recommended to put this in GameUserSettings.ini, or to only add the entries you want to tweak?

Can you tell I'm only about two weeks into INI file hackery?
