Save will not load
Hi
I have a problem where I cant open saves because it takes forever to load them. The RAM drops down to 0.8gb at the end and it will not continue it just loads for hours. This happens after I have played the save for a while. Maybe the map becomes to large? Does anyone know? The saves do often NOT contain more than 40 000 inhabitants. Any help is much appreciated!

If RAM usage suddenly drops to 0.8 then the game has crashed and will not recover.

Look at virtual memory usage during loading. It is shown on the loading screen. Is it much higher than your RAM capacity? For example, 16 virtual memory usage but 8 RAM capacity. If yes, then you are probably running out of memory. Increasing the paging file size might help then (Windows Control Panel).

So I changed the paging file size and the ram vent up to 1 gb. but virtual is still at 12 gb. I have 8 gb of ram in my computer. It says ingame so it might be that the saves are all broken? I have also noticed that i struggle with new saves also. Ram is dropping low. I have removed many assets and mods and uninstalled the game many times. Nothing seems to help

Ingame is the name of the last Unity level that is loaded. It is just a name.

Reinstalling the game does not help. You just get the same files back.

Removing unused assets is a good idea. Removing assets that are placed in your city can make things worse.

At this point it is time to take a look at output_log.txt. The problem could be running out of memory. But it could be a mod problem also.

Thanks for your help. The game runs a lot smoother at this time so it seems like the paging file size helped. I have just given up on the old saves
