Building Sizes
So I have had several request about the sizing of the pieces, and have talked to several people about it but now I am looking for greater community input.

The orginal ark pieces for whatever reason are to small for the size of characters that wc decided to go with. As such in an order to make my pieces work with other mods and the default building set I followed this route. In order to make the most of designs (windows) and to bring other items to the mod the sizing really needs to be larger. I have come up with 2 alternatives as to how to combat this. I would look at increasing the size to about 1.5. Foundations, walls, roofing. Everything to match. This will allow the door to work right, the windows to be at the right height, etc.

1. Add a larger tier into this mod. Increasing file size.
2. Just change the sizes of the items in this mod. Doing so will change everything in world that has been placed and will most likely mess up any buildings previously built, and render it incompatible with any other building structures.

What are your thoughts?

can't you do both?
So they are still compatible with other mods (1x structures), but if you want you can make a complete new house up to proportion (1.5x structures)
Ofcourse, if the filesize will double, then its not a good idea....

I like this mod to be compatible as possible with other and vanilla items at least

Well #1 would be both. Just not sure what that would do to the file size. It would allow the larger tier, and then still maintain the vanilla size making it compatible.

are you just going to stretch out the textures to the new dimensions? (it saves mod size i think)
But it might look ugly

The pieces are actually shrunk to fit their current size. So I can still use the same textures and materials without increasing the file size. The file size would only increase from the additional blueprints.

Well, that might be interesting then. Let's see what others think.....
Have you read my report in the bugs section about the wood/stone/metal behavior of structures? it's reallyimportant to me. as I had to disable 70% of your engrams at this moment on my server because of that.

Yes, just replied back.
Vote #2 NO additional blueprints to correct the ones you got!!

More work for you, but I would recommend a larger tier with a warning notice that the current BP's will be phased out in xx weeks.

This gives people time to replace/adjust any buildings with the new sized structures.

Adjusting the size of current placed structures could have some very funky effects, especially if other mods have been incorporated into the buildings.

I may try playing around with it and see what effect it will have on file size. I still want to add in the other plaster color variations too. Also working with an emitter that would show some wear and rear on some panels to show age.

I really like the idea of only having to build one tier high. It just makes everything look so much better. Maybe I can come up with some transition pieces.

as I said before, I really want bigger pieces. the mock tudor style lends itself for grand houses and grand town houses and hence need to be bigger then vanilla pieces imo.

the mock tudor style also goes well with the castle mod (this mod has all pieces 5x size of vanilla) so it would go well with 1.5x or 2x the vanilla size of your structures.

Ok, looking at my filesize trying to figure out why it's so big. I have 355mb going to textures alone. All of the blueprints, items, and engrams only take up about 1mb. So if I just add in an entire new tier I'm not adding very much in. I will also work removing some of the textures to lower the file size. I already have almost all the textrues in the game that I'm wanting to add, ie the boat, dino cart, etc. So the stuff I'm not gonna do I can start cleaning up.

You can have 1 high floors if the snap points on ceilings is adjusted. Atm cant walk under your ceiling when snapped to a normal wall, but can walk under a normal ceiling when snapped to one of your walls.
You can see in this SS the slight height difference https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=678935865
