the only reason i'm asking is to see if this is possible, since there doesn't appear to be a set "place" where you can give it upgrades(noting how it's meant to be one big floaty thing and just giving it upgrades on the spot doesn't appear to work)

I tried using the Wrench on it, and it didn't even show the basic modules that other drones have. Because of that, it looks like the Mothership simply can't be upgraded.
