Are color pickers for the sun and ambient light possible? An intensity slider for the sky would also be nice. Also numerical inputs.

I've dabbled a little with color pickers to see if I could change fog/pollution colors, but for the time being I shelved it to avoid stuffing too much in this first version. But I'll add your suggestions to my wish list and see what I can come up with. Probably need to overhaul the UI as well, as the amount of possible additional settings may be about to skyrocket ;)

I'm not sure, mod allows "permanently rain" disabling DW?
Judazzz  [developer] 28 Apr, 2016 @ 10:49am
I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but let me try: as far as I know Dynamic Weather can not be 'locked', as in keeping weather static after setting it with this mod. So if you use this mod to play with the weather settings, DW will be enabled if it wasn't, and sooner or later the weather will change again.

I have to try.
In my next city, I will put off DW, and continuous rain and see if is "eternal". :steammocking:

Branching off from the main mod a bit, but would you consider making more themes to go with this? I've looked everywhere for a rural China stereotypical mod (with red tiled slopy roofs that have those ridges and stuff), but can't find one.
Judazzz  [developer] 1 May, 2016 @ 3:38am
Hey Pentagrille, what do you mean by 'themes to go with this mod'?
Are you talking about creating a set of China-themed houses? I'm completely unfamiliar with 3D modelling, so if that's what you are looking for, try posting a request on the official forum[forum.paradoxplaza.com], Reddit, Simtropolis[community.simtropolis.com] - who knows one of the talented modelers may want to take up your wish.
If it's something else directly related to this mod (to visual settings), could you please explain it a bit more?

You got it spot on. Thanks for the info, I'll try looking in those places in future. :)

Hey could there be an option for disable the thunder strikes without disable rain ? The thunder strikes makes the screenshots looks terrible and playing at night gives me also a terible headache lolz

@sepij I'm not trying to belittle Judazzz mod, but rather just informing you of what is already available. Climate Control has the ability to alter the thunder frequency and has an option for "Almost Never". Edit: Hopefully the two mods don't conflict.

@[SSU]yenyang: no worries about me feeling 'belittled' - I don't offer that feature (well, not yet ;), so thanks for directing Sepij to a mod that does.
Besides that, Climate Control offers a number of things that won't ever be part of Ultimate Eyecandy (like importing location-based real life weather), just like has some features CC doesn't have, so there will always be some overlap and some differences.

@Judazzz Sounds good. I'm glad it doesn't bother you that I'm directing people to another mod. I think climate control started with the location based weather stuff and then added the controlling weather and lightning stuff later because of user requests, which is why people that weren't following it didn't know that it had those features.

I found that the sun can't like real from one direction, and from one direction. The sun rise from only around a 70 - degree and go on
Judazzz  [developer] 11 May, 2016 @ 11:44am
Thanks for your feedback. I had noticed the same, and tweaked the sun's vertical position a bit, making it possible to move it around 120 degrees in either direction (well below the horizon).
I still need to make a few more changes and finish the new layout (which frees up more space for future options), but I will be releasing an updated version soon, hopefully somewhere next week. So stay tuned! :)

Hey Judazzz, I have a new idea/suggestion to your mod.

Automatic LUT switch by weather and day time. Do you think it is doable?

Basically make the mod switch LUTs by night/day time and weather, clear, foggy and rainy. I noted that the game don't change much the ilumination when there are weather changes, basically you have a perfectly clear and bright day in the middle of a storm.

What do you think?
