★★★ 3/5: A decently mixed effort

A hectic campaign full of different areas to explore. Varied and creative in itself, but lacks enough attention to detail to give it some spirit. Quite a few areas are big, wide and empty, which makes it feel a bit amateurish at times, not so much because of the sheer size, but because there isn't much to see or do. The visuals are somewhat gray, and continue a raw and heavy atmosphere. On the one hand, this also manages to create a sense of desperation that drives the player to keep moving.

The gameplay is solid and balanced, with a few varied encounters here and there. The length of the maps means that at some points we'll be constantly fighting hordes that come spawning from several meters away, so at least it's enough room to breathe and maneuver.

The maps vary in both quality and level of fun. Some are a bit tedious, but overall, they are acceptable and I didn't encounter any major problems. The finale in particular is fun and reminiscent of No Mercy.

A mixed bag of good and bad, but overall, I have no strong opinions. I enjoyed it and thought it was mostly decent.
