Setup
Hi,
Firstly nice work, it looks awesome!

I wanted to ask about the Setup for ROTE. I have phisical copy of the game with Expansion so I'm familiar with the all rules but I can't handle with this program/script. What should I do when I need to choos Mission Deck? Instruction on screen says that "Generals need choose which deck to use by typing into chat" Is that mean that is end of the scripted setup now? and right now other things need to be done manual?

btw I see some "ROTE setup" in the notebook but it is locked.

Thanks in advance.

Just enter into the chat what the game tells you to. I think it's !rote for the expansion, and maybe something like !base for the base game. The script will detect the command and finish setup accordingly.

Thank you! It is working now! Actually I tried this on the first time and it doesn't clicked, but it doesn't matter anymore:) Thanks again.

Hey! I love the fact that you made this for the game! I do have a problem when I choose a rebel base however. When I take it from the probedeck and put it in the rebelbase space and continue (phase 6) it encounters an error. Do you know why that is? I know that after this phase you just draw mission cards and then start the game as normal but still ;)

regarding chat commands, it only works on the local room chat, not the global tab. sometimes the global channel is selected by default.

@bogusboy
not sure -- if you give me the error, there might be a line in it that specifies where in the code the error is occurring and I can look at it.

Not sure why, but it seems to be solved :P

How do I add this game to my Table Top Simulator here on Steam? I have purchased Table Top Simulator AND I ordered Star Wars Rebellion and the Rise of Empire Expansion physical game from Games Lore yesterday. Help! I want to play on Table Top Simulator. But I don't see the purchase option on the list of games I can buy for it here on Steam. How did everyone here install it?

I don't see a "buy" or "add" button anywhere on this "Star Wars: Rebellion" Steam page. It says, "subscribe to download". So, I subscribed. But I didn't see anything happen. Did it download automatically and now I just have to open the tabletop simulator and somehow access it?

If you start a new game and then go to workshop, you see all the games you 'subscribed'. Then you can start the game from there :)

Does selecting the ROTE setup, but with BASE units and Mission Deck change the available leaders, action deck and objectives to the BASE game settings? In other words, can you have ROTE battles with the BASE everything else?
BogusBoy 16 Oct, 2018 @ 1:38pm
You can still build the units later ofcourse. The leadercards are all in there with the base setup, so you could still use those leaders with the base setup/everything :)

@BW I remember having that problem before myself. You do have to switch to the other player to be sure that both players have chosen a deck.

Is there any command to choose the mission deck for the other player? I'm trying to play this game Hotseat but I get stuck at that point because the chat command only works for one side.

Okay, so the solution was to enable turns. Going to Options -> Turns and activating the first option. Then you can change the player by clicking on "End turn" at the top oft he screen, this way you can use the chat commands on different players.

Due to the current social distancing rules with CONVID-19 I would like to try this with the Solo Rules from BGG (the physical game takes up too much room and I can't leave it set-up).

During setup I can't seem to get past the step to setup the Missions deck. I type !rote in local chat but not much seems to happen apart from saying the commander has chosen. Reading other threads this should be the final step.

Is it failing because only 1 player is completing this step?
Does the large blue setup object disappear upon completion ?

Thanks in advance !

iirc you need to type !rote or !base as BOTH the generals since the scripted setup is designed for either 1v1 or 2v2 games. I don't believe it would support a solo-game unless the setup happens to be effectively the same process. If it IS the same process, then you can just use the "change teams" feature to switch between the Red and White teams, typing !rote or !base into chat for each, then returning to whichever team/seat you would play as in solo.

Hope that helps.
