I am having trouble linking my Navlocked areas to doors

i want to connect certain areas to my door (i'm using blastdoor001c) but it won't connect. it just gives me the error "Only buyable props, doors, and buyable buttons with LINKS can be linked to navareas." it says they need to have links but idk what this means. can someone explain please?

Link is the flag you give it with the door tool
