Players getting stuck in the zombies

If you get too close to the zombies they will walk into your player model and you will get stuck until you either get downed or kill them. Is this intentional, if not does anyone know a fix/workaround for this?

isn't intended. Workaround? there is not one that is easy. it will require skill and timing.
