Well the feathers are painted on to match the appearance of the other birds in the game. If you look at the eagle, owl, Archimedes and the others, you will see they all use the same method. Also there is a triangle limit on workshop models and this little fellow nearly hit that limit. So I don't have a big enough triangle budget left over to model any more detail.

Alright, I thought it was probably due to a technical issue, and not laziness. I didn't notice that other birds in-game had painted feathers. Well, good luck, and I hope this makes it to the game!

I was hyped for this ecasue there's no reskins for buildings or the PDAs so far except for the mini-sentry. Some servers give sentries and dispensers hats, though.

Valve would have to be the ones to implement that kind of feature. they don't give us the tools to do those kinds of things on the workshop

It's okay. I wouldn't expect it to happen if it hasn't been done yet.
