You follow the hallway further, you must know more. You then enter another room. There are signs of a struggle, tools misplaced, things overturned, blood everywhere. One man lies there still alive, obviously wounded. You run to his aid, but he dies just then, you were too late. A bloody note lays in his hand "I've been poisioned, I can't run any farther, the fall has broken my legs, i cut my wife loose, but she was already dead. My one regret, I was too late to save my daughter.. I could only watch, helplessly.. as the life was drained from her eyes... If anyone finds this, collapse the mine and get as far away as you can..
The room appears to be a dead end, but there is a tunnel dug at the base. It is just large enough for you to crouch in. There are signs that whatever came through there, dragged someone inside. The trail of blood suggest this.
On the other end of the crawl tunnel, you reach an area where you can stand. Nordic ruins covered in webs. You enter the ruins.
On the inside of the ruins, a man stands in an empty room. He is overjoyed to see another friendly face. He says for you to follow him, there are more survivors. Before anything can be said in response, he runs down a hall. and stops in a room. When you get within range, he pulls a lever that drops you through the floor into a cage. When you hit the bottom, you can hear him from above you. "I did what you asked!! Please! NO!
Silence fills you, as you look at your surrounding. A spider's nest, corpses hung from the ceiling. A mob of spiders surrounds you, these spiders are incredibly strong.
If you did not die to the spiders, you will find another crawl tunnel. You crawl through it to find stairs back up. You climb the stairs to the room where the man once stood. All that lies there now is blood, the body is missing. You progress to the next room.
Inside the room, there are more webs and spiders. After killing them you being to inspect the room. You find a animal pen. Inside are many bones. A note lies there. "Mommy told me not to cry it will only make it worse, but when she cried, they thingies took her away, out of this place. She's been gone for days.. atleast I have my dolly."
You progress to the next room. Its very large, with a tall ceiling you can't see, because it is covered in web. and in the middle, hanging from the giant web ceiling. A lone child's doll lays strung in web. Upon taking the doll, a voice is heard. "You survived, I am impressed. The harder they struggle.. the sweeter they taste." Suddenly, a giant unique spider flies down from out of the web ceiling. It has glowing markings, and its name is "Sebscis, the Eternal" (the door closes behind you and is locked). This spider is incredibly strong, and upon death, it laughs. "The eggs have hatched. Your death.. *it struggles to say these final words*.. is your own."
The creature lies dead and silent. The ground shakes. Many many tiny spiders decend from the ceiling, they one hit the player and have too much health to die. All you can do is run through this other passageway nearby as the construct shakes periodically. Down this tunnel, are more dead bodies hanging than you can count, with eggs all around them. All the eggs are hatching and this only prompts you to run faster. The tremors appear to have knocked some bodies down from the webs holding them.. as a woman, presumably the child's mother, lays dead on the floor. You run as fast as you can, the tunnel leads you to fall through a hole in the ceiling into the room where the man died just before you could reach him. You run to the exit, and escape. After you have escaped, the entrance collapses, and you can no doubt hear your player panting from using up all your stamina.
So by the end you realized, after wittnessing his father's death and being poisioned and left to die, the father escaped and ran as far as he could. He died after falling through the ceiling into the room, trying to escape.
This concludes my epic tale! Took forever to write, hope you put it to good use!
in order to trigger you need a little fame and to be entering whiterun or some city a lead could be a rumor that heroes have gone missing in the area. a little girl runs up to you and says
"Please, i need your help! there is a monster in my room! it looks bad and like it wants to eat me! i locked the door, but it cant stay in there forever... I tried other heroes to take care of it but they either said i was lying and laughed it off or it killed them! but your (y/n) the Dragonborn, you can take it!"
with some options but if you accept:
"you will? Thank you SOOO much!"
at their home
"It is in this room... be careful..."
as you enter there are skeletons and flesh and blood everywhere
then the door closes... and cant be re-opened
she says
"YOU FOOL IT WAS ME ALL ALONG... *and turns into some kind of daedra* i feed upoun the power of mortals like you and absorb their abilities and skills. dragonborn... huh? this is going to be delicious..."
then fight with alot of hp and dmg
after fight you gain loot and if you report it to the guards you gain more loot and fame.
if reported before the fight the fight is harder and adds the corpses of the guard's loot of their bodies to the stack but no fame.
and so that is my idea
