Additional Traits

Suggestions for future traits
By xnadu27's suggestion, we know have a dedicated topic where to discuss ideas for new traits and debate their merits. Of course, that doesn't mean I'll stop taking in account the ideas in comments, just than it's nice to have a special place for discussion on this subject.
And now I'm rambling, so I'm off. ;)

I’ve heard people complain about the name of Zealous Defender being not trait-like, so how about the name “Territorial” instead?

Good point and good name, I'll try to make the change for the next update. Already have to ask Kazmyl and others for a few localisations, so one more word should be ok. ^^
Super-Warriors: +100% Army Damage. +25% Army Morale. -40% Pop growth speed, -15% Research speed. +3 Leader level cap.

Maybe increase the maluses if that seems OP to you.
And for Spiked, instead of increased Defense Army damage, they do not take damage from Bombardment.

A name like Diggers makes more sense. Spikes don't protect you against missiles from orbital range.
Actually, looking at the modifiers list, I don't think something exists for that. It would be neat.
Great idea, although I think the name “Burrowers” would be better. What did you think about Super-Warriors? It would let me RP the Saiyan race.

Burrowers is better, indeed. If I can find the modifier somewhere, we'll add them.

Super-warriors looks like a combination of traits. We have a few of those, true, (I'm still looking attentively on Swarm machines) but we try to not abuse too much, because that would be a great advantage compared to traits giving a small bonus, taking only one emplacement.
Also, we tried to not have to much traits giving bonuses AND malus, unless the odd one is way smaller than the others.

Born-Warriors, Very Slow Breeders, Talented and SImple-Minded .
We don't have a super-talented because that would be really strong in early game and it's already possible to reach lvl 10 leaders in vanilla, so useless in lategame. I wouldn't be surprised to find such a trait in other mods, but we don't plan to add such a trait in Additional Trait in the near future.
Ok, sounds good.
Blunt: +5 opinion from other empires. Increased opinion malus from insulting.

Deceptive: +15% Trade Attractiveness
Antiperfect: 0% habitability on Gaia worlds and Ringworlds. Cost: -2
Radioactive Cells: 100% habitability on Tomb worlds. Cost: 1

I think these last traits would be redundant with the life-seeded and post-apocalyptic civics, no ? And we can't easily prevent taking a civic along a trait, so it could generate bad ai empires culumating the trait and the civic.

In all cases, thank you for your propositions. I don't know how to realise most of them, but that's really inspiring and encouraging me to try. :)

Post-Apocalyptic makes Tomb worlds more habitable and starts you on one. Radioactive cells makes the like gaia worlds without bonuses.

Antiperfect is the one that would have a problem if used with Life-Seeded.

Nothing to counter, you are right. I added them to the idea list.
Migratory: +30% Migration chance
Natural Mega-Emgineers: +10% Megastructure build speed
Unfit Mega-Engineers: -10% Megastructure build speed
Spores: +75% pop growth speed, -40 years lifespan
